When the first thing they did when I walked in was wash my curly hair I should have been worried. How can you cut to a curl pattern if my hair is wet and straight? I told her that I wanted a few inches off and to put layers back in. She seemed to understand what she was doing there, or so I thought. As she started cutting it another group of people came in saying they had an appointment with the same lady doing my hair at 1, my appointment was at 1230. I’ve never had a haircut take less than 30 minutes so I was worried she was going to try to go quick and something would go wrong. She then put heat directly on my hair, with no diffuser. She did eventually use a diffuser but not for long. After my hair was dry she realised there was a “line” in my hair, so she brushed out my curl (I could not believe she did that) to make a few cuts. I got home and went to look in the mirror and realised I had a shelf. A very obvious shelf along my hair, see the photos for proof. Layers should not be obvious. This was by far the WORST haircut I’ve ever had now that I am home and see what she has done. She obviously over booked herself and sadly she let it show in her work. I will never ever go back, I was in tears when I saw my hair in my bathroom.

I am a long time client and continue to be amazed at the talent that Joanie and Julie have. While my hair still looks good after 8 weeks, after seeing Joanie it goes from good to fabulous! She is an expert with the cut and color so all I have to do is wash, condition, and go. No hair drying or styling is needed… natural curl is at its best. I use their, “potion” so I have no frizz and hair stays so healthy. I have seen Julie in action for years and every client has a special glow and huge smile after her care too.

This was my first time going to a salon that specializes in curly hair. I wasn’t sure what to expect but as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by hellos and such an amazing salon environment. All the ladies that work there are so sweet and helpful. This was my first time getting a curly girl haircut and I was so impressed how alive my curls became after the hair cut. After my hair dried, I saw such an immense difference in my volume and hold of my curls. It is safe to say that I will definitely be going back.

Went in for a haircut about 4 days ago.. I am super upset with how my hair turned out layers are uneven, it’s like a shelf like hair cut best way to describe it ugh… pictures don’t do justice. All I wanted was a trim and some layers.

The main reason for this review is that I tried for almost 4 months to style my hair after the haircut and nothing looks good. I have to use my hair half up or all the way tied up to look okay, not even a ponytail looks nice.

This salon is family owned and very nice! You need to pay parking- they can help walk you through it if necessary. Crew is kind and friendly. They have their dog there 2x a week so that was fun. My cut and color (we didnt do any testing) went very quickly- 2 hours or less. The leave in product at the end made my hair a little crunchy which is the only thing I didn’t super like- it’s a texture thing- but that is the only issue that I had. Everything else and everyone was wonderful and made it an enjoyable experience. I will be returning in the future.
