Annie is the best! She’s just so normal, not the typical money hungry nail technician like what I’m used to. She was very honest with me and seems like she really knows what she’s talking about and she has the best quality work by far. The only issue is scheduling an appointment, it’s only her and one other nail tech so they don’t like to take on too many clients which is understandable but I also don’t want to call 3 times and leave a voicemail to schedule monthly appointments. But if you’re a patient person you definitely won’t regret getting a manicure here!

My friend and I called multiple times over a few days to make an appointment for manicures and pedicures. Their website said they prefer appointments so we were doing our best to try to accommodate that. Nobody answers the multiple calls and there wasn’t a voicemail. That’s fine as I understand it’s a small business and they may be busy.

I was very disappointed with other nail services in the areas of Kingwood and Atascosita and I found good online reviews of this place. Since my first appointment, my experience was excellent. My first service was dip powder and, for the first time, I was not hurt with the filing machine. I was expecting it all the time and thought it was a one-time good luck but I returned and had the same great experience. This second time, I added a pedicure with Shellac. The end product was beautiful. At the beginning, I was resistant of making appointments but Van, the owner, proved me that it is the best practice for both. I am there on time, she is ready waiting for me, and she finishes on time respecting my time and the time of her next client. Van has shared with me a positive vibe and time flies while I am there. I am a happy client.

I’ve been to many salons in HKA area and none have exceeded my expectations like Taco Nail did. I had my nails dipped on 12/16 and they lasted 3 WEEKS without any chipping. Just had a new dip on 1/8! It’s evident Annie uses quality products, which I noticed many are organic! That means the world to me especially since I have oily nail beds and everything seems to come off quicker which was why I quit shellac and started dipping! Walked into Taco Nail to see about getting a pedicure. There were only two people in the there. Ask about a pedicure and the lady had the nerves to tell me the booked for the day. Walked outside and called the number listed to make an appointment. They had an available appointment for 3:45. If you don’t service African Americans just say so don’t lie about not being able to perform the service.
