BEWARE: This salon is basically a barber shop for trendy k-pop haircuts. The reviews that are shining are from the previous salon called “Empire Salon”. When I showed the stylist the photo I basically explained I wanted to keep the majority of my length and trim about an inch, with jaw-length curtain bangs. He gave me layers and thinned out my hair so much that it looks stringy. I was so angry I paid and wished I hadn’t tipped. He didn’t even use heat protectant in my hair. While he was combing through it he was practically yanking at my ends. Also, he used two hair dryers to dry my hair at once. The haircut lasted only 30 minutes and he didn’t even trim it while wet. They have no idea how to style women’s hair. While the cut isn’t so bad, the whole point of this was to maintain my length and he just thinned my hair out. I may return and demand a refund but right now I’m so angry.

Critical: Professionalism, ValueWorst service ever, I was growing my hair for 2 years, and I specifically mentioned not to chop off my hair length or volume and just trim a little. But after the cut was done, I realised that not only the artist has chopped down my hair volumne but the hairstly does not even suit my face. I had waist length hair, he chopped them to my shoulder length. It seemed like I had more hair on the floor than on my head. I even told the artist that I generally tie my hair and now theres’ hardly any hair left for a bun or ponytail. They constantly keep coming onto my face. It was like the hair artist didnt understand anything and did what he wanted. Extremely dissatisfied and upset. Such a wast of money and time. Ive been going here since undergrad so 10 years and I’ve always been happy with my haircuts and facts would have gone anywhere else I’m usually disappointed so I see Sherry she’s independent but she’s wonderful I also used to see Jen and she’s not there anymore but I would definitely recommend this place. I have extremely thick curly hair sew a lot of hair cuz I’ve had have come out on even or uneven because people are uncomfortable cutting my hair but nobody here has ever made me feel uncomfortable and they know what they’re doing and I can tell

I love Empire Salon! The staff are super friendly and I am always very happy with my haircut and color 🙂 Natalie does my hair and she always takes her time to make it perfect. She is so careful and always goes out of her way to make sure you’re happy with your haircut. She’s also just fun to talk to. I recommend her to friends and family every chance I get.

I’ve been going to this salon since 2001. All the stylist here are amazing! I’ve had my hair from the blondes the blonde to the darkest brunette..long, short, layers, bangs you name it. I’m never disappointed with the wonderful work they do. Our wouldn’t trust my hair to any other salon! I’ve referred many people to this salon who are now loyal clients just like me. Kate is amazing! I have bleach blonde hair, and it has gotten softer and longer since I let Kate take care of it 🙂 The salon is beautiful and in a beautiful location. They also sell great products!! I love the dry shampoo from Davines Kate recommended for me. I would recommend Empire to anyone.

I’ve been going to Eric for 15-16 years, and love the way he cuts/colors my hair. The staff at Empire have always been very helpful and nice. The salon runs very smoothly and rarely have had to wait for my appointment. I have, and will continue to refer my friends to this salon.
