Critical: ProfessionalismI was given a gift card to this place so I decided to use it on my 2 girls and myself. There was one tech who was assisting another client. No problem. He kindly asked us what we wanted, basic manicures with regular polish but the kids wanted some butterflies on them. He asked us to wash our hands and select our colors. Another person and their child come in and they were directed to some seats. We were not yet informed where the technicians were going to be so we were unsure where to sit, no one directed us. Again, it did not bother me until another group walked in so the other techs started emerging from the back to assist the client out in front and the other mother and child. After standing for a couple minutes, someone finally points out an area where we could go sit and wait for the nail techs. We’re sitting and one by one, a technician comes. No words said to us but they would chatter and laugh amongst the staff. I inform the tech that my girls would BOTH like butterflies. Jenny, the tech, acknowledges this and rummages her stickers, pulling out some butterflies to show us if they were OK. Perfect, the butterflies that the children wanted. Jenny also indicated they’d stick better with gel polish on the children. I agreed for gel just so the stickers would stick, for the children. A man approaches the children and then turns away, sitting in the tech seat in front of me instead of them. Again, no words said just some more laughing and grunting with the other techs, not in English. He grabs by hand and starts working on it. One of the clients that had come in after was seated a few seats next to us and was greeted kindly by another male tech, asking her about what she wanted and how, as it should be. Still, the technician working on my nails was grunting and mumbling to the other technicians. The other male tech told my male tech to just “do the manicure”. Both my girls are now being helped and asked about colors but their technicians would laugh and talk, again not English, amongst themselves. Back to my tech, roughly pat my hand with the towel after filing my nails, mind you my nails were covered in the filed particles, not my hand. He began to use acetone then using the base coats. I asked the tech about the polish because it didn’t look right. He corrected me by telling me it was the base coat only. He pulled out a box of other polishes, base coats, top coats, other miscellaneous things that were not labeled so I’m not certain what they were. He puts the selected polish in with the pile of his polishes and then when I turned to talk to my girls about their polish, he painted my nail mint green (I picked white). When I noticed, he was 3 nails in with gel polish (not what I asked for). I ask about the polish but he ignored my question and continued painting and talking to his comrades. My girls turn back to me and tell me their nails were done but they’re not right. I call for my girls to show me and one of them had polka dots on a few fingers and the other child a single flower on her one hand. The ladies complete their slips and hand them to me to bring to the front. I bring up the fact that the nails were wrong and the female techs just burst out laughing and talking to each other. They rummage the stickers for butterflies and then cut one out each for my girls. One of the female techs grab my slips and take it back. Male tech completed his slip and hands it to me before walking away. One of the female techs take that as well and then hands me one slip. I walk up to the front with the one slip and the lady at the counter asked about the other slips. I inform her that the female tech took the other two and left me with the one. The counter lady obtains slips and then rings $115. I inform her of what happened. She apologized but justified it, saying my kids told the techs it was OK (I was sitting next to them the entire time, I told them what the kids wanted). One female tech walked and justified again. I reiterate errors so they start taking amongst themselves, handing me $5 off coupon. I pay in full and leave.Service: ManicureI was given a gift card to this place so I decided to use it on my 2 girls and myself. There was one tech who was assisting another client. No problem.
