I’m writing this review because I have seen serious changes in the quality of my skin, and there is no one else to thank for that besides Melissa Lanno of Sykes and Lanno Beauty. I came in after years of not taking focused care of myself (aka momming) and wanting to rejuvenate any kind of youth I had left in my skin. I had melasma and flaky dry but also congested skin, and desperately wanted not to look so aged when I wasn’t wearing foundation. Melissa was referred to me by a friend, and the second I was in her chair (bed actually, but that sounds weird) I knew this woman would be able to improve my skin. She did that ten times over. I use a few of their products regularly now, which are clean and effective, and my skin has gone from needy to glowing. I can now wear just spf (their recommended one is amazing) instead of foundation, and my skin is soft, smooth, clear and even. Melissa is so knowledgeable and kind and caring: she really listens to and considers all my questions and concerns and has guided me through the process of refining my skincare routine. Moreover, I really love the act of supporting women owned businesses, and Sykes and Lanno are all about empowering women in return, so I feel great taking my business to them. They have a client for life in me, because I know the personal attention to exactly what my skin needs at every stage will continue. <3

Such a cozy and welcoming spa! Sara and Melissa are skillful, experienced esthetician’s and it shows after just one visit. Finding a routine that works for my skin has been a challenge in the past but Sara has me on a regimen now that has my face feeling happy! Noticeable improvement is what will keep me coming back as well as the authentic relationship and relaxing atmosphere. Their Product knowledge is outstanding and I love that they go into detail with how and why things work for me personally. I highly recommend Sykes and Lanno Skin Bar for a facial or waxing. The space is decorated beautifully and it’s very welcoming when you walk in. Both Sarah and Melissa are very professional and informative. They are able to customize your facial or any other variety of skincare services specific to your needs. They take time to get to know you especially at your first appointment by asking you some background questions, which helps to customize the services. I am pregnant and my hormones have definitely had an impact on my skin. I had some discoloration and extremely dry skin on my face especially during my first trimester. Sarah was able to use products that were pregnancy safe and help my skin look glowing and radiant. Overall I am highly satisfied with all the services I have had done!

Highly recommend for facials! Sara and Melissa take the time to get to know your skin and skincare goals to develop a personalized program that will work for you. They explain every product and procedure and listen and address concerns. I was a FULL face of makeup EVERY SINGLE DAY and now I wear a quick dust of powder if I have special plans. My facials and home products have been adjusted as my skin progressed so I truly see improvement every month! I firmly believed after everything I had tried my skin just was what it was. My experience at Sykes and Lanno was wonderful! The owners, Melissa and Sara are so friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. The spa is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. And I really enjoyed and appreciated their in depth skincare knowledge and explanation of product and steps throughout my consultation and facial. My face is fully moisturized (typically dry) after my facial and using their recommended products – Skinceuticals Purifying Cleanser, HA intensifier, and Hydra Balm. And another recommendation, the Tinted UV Defense (love it!!), is a suncreen with a light tint that keeps my skin protected daily and eliminates my foundation.
