The lady who cut my hair was extremely nice and very personable. She had my eyes watering from laughing with her. SuseJ’s is the most pleasant, polite, profanity free business I know of. My 3 sons have gotten their hair cut there for 20 years! I first came here about a year ago. A regular hair cut with a neck shave and a hot towel cost 14$ (Active Duty price). The low-cost and high quality made me keep coming back. On the downside, they have no sign in or waiting method except to assume who you’re after. At times that can get a bit awkward. I always get my haircut by Shirley and when the price was 14$ I gave her a 20 and let her keep the rest because she always did a good job. Just recently, they raised the price by 6$ and a normal Active Duty priced haircut now costs 20$. While cutting my hair, in front of other customers, she talked loudly about how the price was fair for their services, quality, etc. She went on to complain about 14$ not being fair and the staff getting the short end of the stick. The price was raised suddenly and not steadily over a period of time. Considering their size, availability of barbers, lack of organization for waiting, and the amount of wait time; they have lost one of the few qualities that makes them unique amongst the hundreds of barber shops in Fayetteville. The low-cost for a good quality haircut.

I used to go to this barbershop for about 6 months and the prices WERE great! They all do good haircuts BUT they recently drastically raised their prices from $14 a haircut to $20!!! Not just a couple dollars increase. Plus their Christian “rules” they have in the barbershop are very strict. God forbid if u have kids that don’t sit in one spot so I’m my opinion this WAS a decent barbershop. I’ll be going elsewhere.
