I brought an elderly couple here because their regular spot closed. This was recommended by my fitness trainer before he can afford more expensive stylists in Boston. (Hi Billy) You need to call ahead to get your place. The place is clean. They cleaned their stations in between customers. Sarah was their stylists. She was very accommodating. The style that this couple requested was fairly regular, nothing complicated. Sarah did them well. She had a very enthusiastic and energetic personality. She was a good conversationalist. When asked for a hair product, she spent her time explaining the products that would work on their hair. The couple liked her very much.

I walked in with long hair down to my chest, as asked the stylist to take off a few inches and bring it up to my collarbone. I specified I wanted no layers, and no other styling – just a really simple cut. She immediately started on the back of my head and cut off up to my neckline before even asking if that was a good length (it was not). Then she put layers in and tried (but failed miserably) to do some kind of face framing, even after I asked her not to when I noticed what she was doing. My hair is now so incredibly choppy, uneven, and absolutely unmanageable, and I have sobbed about it for a while. I went to another salon to try and get it fixed the next day, but aside from blending out the layers (that I specifically asked not to have multiple times) they told me there is nothing to do except wait for it to grow out over the next few months. Overall this was the worst hair experience of my life and I am so incredibly upset and frustrated at the result. They stylist completely disregarded everything I asked for and left me with an unmanageable mess that I have no idea how to deal with.

I had my hair cut today by Sarah, I love my hair! I hadn’t had it cut in years and I was hesitant for a while to get it cut. Ended up here and was so nice from start to finish and was good to talk to. Waited less than 5 minutes, not busy on a Monday.
