Critical: ProfessionalismI’ve been to 4410 E Riverside Dr #140 twice since I’ve moved to Austin in August of 2020. As I walked through the front door, I suddenly remembered why I didn’t stay the first time either: the staff is rude and unprofessional.There was a Hispanic stylist that was speaking to a customer before me. I didn’t listen in as the conversation wasn’t mine to be included in. He left, and I was asked what I wanted. I asked for a cut. I was immediately greeted with a deep sigh and, “Like I said to him, you have to use our app to book an appointment.” I said, “Okay. I wasn’t aware. If I do that and check-in, would I be able to get a rough estimate of time?” She once again sighed heavily and gestured to the other stylists in the building. “Listen, haircuts are about 20-25 minutes apiece. There’s seven people on the list already, and there’s only three of us here. We just opened.” I said, “Okay,” and walked out.I drove from Austin to the Round Rock location as I’ve always been able to walk-in and check-in without using any app. The stylist that cut my hair today also cut my hair a few weeks prior, and she asked me how work was going (recalling our prior conversation.) She even went out of her way to pick a hair product that didn’t smell too strongly because I joked about being slightly hungover. I watched as she discreetly waved her hand in front of her face with the product on it, and when she caught me smiling, she explained she didn’t want me to feel sick.Now THAT’s service. I will never again go to #140 in Austin. I will continue to go to the Round Rock location on University Blvd until I move back to my hometown.I will say that I left Supercuts feedback on the problem stylist and was promptly called within an hour of leaving the message. I did feel as though the GM I spoke to was making excuses as to why her stylist was a bit rude; they’re apparently understaffed and always busy at that locale. I replied, “I understand that maybe she was feeling overwhelmed, and as I’m not from here, I didn’t realize that was one of the busier stores, but that doesn’t warrant attitude.” She agreed and offered me to come in at the RR location when she was there to take care of me personally. I declined, as that wasn’t what the purpose of my feedback was. I just want others to be aware of the staff at #140.
