This weekend, I went to this Supercuts on 47th St E. I usually book an appointment, however, I was just passing by and wanted to give this infamous place a try. For context, I had been growing out my hair for 6 years now and it WAS all the way down to my waist. Even though I’m a guy, women typically cut my hair because it is more similar in terms of length/style. As soon as I enter, I find the culprit, I believe her name was Maritza or something along those lines. My memory isn’t the best anymore considering I bashed my head in tears into the nearest wall as soon as I exited this disgrace of a facility. Continuing, as soon as I enter, I am rudely greeted, she realizes I am not one of their regulars(I am surprised they have any) and tries to avoid even making eye contact. My only regret was insisting she serves me. When I sit I clearly tell her that I only want ONE INCH off the bottom, she rudely says “yeah, yeah” and proceeds to give me one of the haircuts my grandma used to give me back when I was 7 years old. At the start I realized the mistake and when I asked she told me she was giving me a haircut that made me look like a “real man.” In the end, I held in my tears, lied, and said I liked it because everyone knows there’s an unspoken rule to never tell your barber that you don’t. I felt bad because she looked miserable so I tipped her $100 for a $25 haircut. Also, the morning prior, my wife filed for divorce; she said it was because I’m a terrible person and she regretted ever meeting a villain like myself, however, I truly believe it was because she knew I would get an unbearable haircut and wanted to end things before she ever got the chance to see it. I don’t usually write reviews especially negative ones however, my experience at this super cuts on 47th st Palmdale, California was atrocious. I left in tears… I walked in thinking I’d walk out with the haircut of my dreams but I walked out with a haircut from hell. My hair stylist had dark curly hair and wore glasses (I didn’t catch her name) on Saturday November 5, and just to start off she was completely rude. She walked me to her station and asked if I had scheduled my appointment for 6:00pm in which I replied with yes, then she continues to say “oh and here I thought we’d be closing soon.” Why as a hair stylist would she say that to a paying customer ? But anyways, I continued to tell her what I wanted for my haircut and I specifically said I wanted CURTAIN bangs and that I didn’t want straight across bangs, she said she understood and proceeded to cut my hair. I also said the shortest I’d go is to my shoulders. She then cut my hair way above my shoulders and gave me straight across bangs. She continued cutting and cutting and I knew I should’ve stopped her but I tried trusting the process and giving her the benefit of the doubt, I was wrong. I hated my haircut but put a smile on my face because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, I then tipped her $15 because I felt bad that she cut MY hair so poorly. But now I’m hearing that this isn’t her first incident with cutting hair poorly which is why I’m writing this review because something needs to change. I suggest this establishment puts her skills under review as well as her professionalism. I’ll never come back here, worst experience ever.

I only ever need a simple haircut, just taking a few inches off. The ladies here have always been very kind and manage to take care of customers quickly. Even when they are very busy with lots of customers who’ve come in at the same time !

it’s good and affordable place to go to get a haircut. $25 is not a bad price to pay for a haircut nowadays. If you can find the right hairdresser, which I think I have . And that’s just a bonus .

I made an appointment for 5pm. Got there on time but they didn’t have an available person and i wasn’t acknowledged. I sat there waiting. Next time a stylist was free they took a person who had been in their waiting area when i got there. Don’t see the point of making an appointment. They should have told me its all on a walk in basis. I got my haircut (bangs & a few layers) at about 5:40 & I was unimpressed. This lacked the enjoyment you should get from having your hair professionally done. Just a cut. I suppose them styling the hair to show THEIR work must be Extra $$$ Next time I’ll be spending $27 elsewhere.

Until Sunday 10/24/21 I was happy with Super Cuts. I always take my daughters with Nora and she’s amazing. This Sunday Nora was not there so I still went ahead and schedule an appointment. Maritza helped us. She was very very rude! First She asked how did I want my daughters hair cut, I had just started explaining when she cuts me off. She asked again how did I want the hair, so I started answering again and again she interrupted me! This happened 3 times before I took the cape of my daughter and said I didn’t want her to cut my daughters hair. Maritza is very rude! I wouldn’t recommend her at all!

The stylists are very good, been going here since they first opened. I usually have Nora do my hair, never had a bad experience with her. They are the only hair cut salon that I will ever use, always had extremely bad experiences at Cost Cutters, and Fantastic Sams.
