Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueRob and I found Sharrell by accident about 2 months ago and we both had haircuts. We loved the service and quality that she performed that we drove 35 minutes just so Sharrell could cut our hair again. She makes both of us feel special and gives us the best haircuts that we have had in a long time. Rob and I found Sharrell by accident about 2 months ago and we both had haircuts. We loved the service and quality that she performed that we drove 35 minutes just so Sharrell could cut our hair again. She makes both of us feel special and gives us the best haircuts that we have had in a long time. Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityMy rating is for today’s visit 8/29/2020. I called early to make an appointment and talked to Syndi who told me they were not busy and that she had 3 girls working today, and I could either just come down or make an appointment. I didn’t want to stand in a room full of people which is generally what happens when you walk in and get on the list, so I chose to make an appointment for 10AM. I would rather avoid crowed waiting rooms until we are past the virus outbreaks.I arrived on time to see Syndi with a customer and a another girl, but no third girl. Syndi had to help the new girl with her cut and was giving her instructions so I assumed she was new. If Syndi had to help her cut her customers hair, she’s new in my estimation. I also noticed that the new girl was not wearing her mask over her nose, which in my view you might as well not be wearing one. The entire time I watched she never put it on properly. By now they are finishing up and I can see that I’m going to get the new girl with the improper mask. Who knows what the truth is today about the virus but why take a chance. At that point I left and called in from my car to tell them to take the name off the list. I talked to Syndi who kept saying she was going to call me next but didn’t. I told her about the new girl not wearing her mask correctly, all she did was defend her. The new girl seemed very nice and it had nothing to do with her personally, but why have me make and appointment, then make me wait in a small waiting room that now has a few people in it for a girl that not wearing a mask properly to protect us both, and has to be told how to do everything and get assistance from the manager. Thats not the experience I wanted. Some people may laugh, but in the wake of the virus outbreaks, at my age I’d rather not catch the virus getting a $20 haircut from someone in training.I have gone to Syndi since the new Kroger opened and she was always good and cuts hair well. I think today could have been handled better. It’s not the waiting as much as having to wait in a small waiting area with other people, and it’s not just that the girl was new but would not wear her mask properly. Protecting your people as a manager is a good quality, but when you’re talking to a customer they just want to know that you’re going to acknowledge the problem and fix it, not defend a position that should be corrected.My rating is for today’s visit 8/29/2020.
