I used to jump around to different places to get my hair cut like most guys (some good cuts and some bad), but after my first haircut with Monique I have gone to her exclusively. Critical: ProfessionalismCan’t begin to express my level of disappointment. I called this salon in advance, & scheduled an appt for my teen, & specifically indicated what our needs were, shampoo and a flat iron. I asked the stylist if they could do this and she said yes. She suggested coming in @ 3:30. However once we arrived, she said that she wouldn’t have time to do her hair because it was a natural texture & they would be closing at 5pm. I asked why she didn’t ask this on the phone? She had the audacity to say “I didn’t know you were” Were WHAT? The onus shouldn’t have been on myself as a consumer. My daughter happens to have soft textured hair, but that’s not relevant. As a stylist of color you’d hope that she’d have some experience with all hair types.
