Was there at 10:05 this morning to get a haircut. When I went in there were two stylists. One was working on a customer the other not. She asked me if I had an appointment and I said “no”. She told me she could do 11:30. Why does it say no appointment necessary walk ins welcomed when they are not? This is not the first time this has happened to me either. Time to move on. Several other barbers have opened in the area recently.

Possibly the worst haircut of my life. The girl who cut my hair was unfriendly. Could care less Told her what I wanted and did not seem to have the skills to accomplish my wishes. Simple directions, cut the hair as short as you can using only scissors. Said to use clippers on sideburns and to raise them. The sideburns are a mess. She simply did not have the skills.

I chose the wrong person to cut my hair, I should have had Ashley. The woman who cut my hair needs to learn some serious manners and better skills. All she had to do was trim an existing excellent haircut. She was rough and attempted to dry my hair while it was soaking wet. Trying to make polite conversation was next to impossible. Granted I was from out of town, I tried to engage her in conversation about a local restaurant in Kinderhook. She said I never go there. Where is it? Uh…about a mile down the road. And don’t you think you should tell your customers if flat ironing is an additional cost. I would not recommend Jacqueline or Jaclyn!

I got one really good cut, & my hair is very simple, straight, a bit longer in front, to hair line in back, what used to be called a “Buster Brown”, or a “Dutch” cut. The person who was good was gone the next four weeks when I called. Every one else is not very interested, left me with hair on my face , and only noticed when I began to brush it off, then when I walked outside, I realized my hair was still wet, I could have one back, but why bother, already one feels badly & put down. The thing is that it is convenient, & there is not much around in the way of competition. These shops would be a very nice business if someone cared. Perhaps the company takes too much from the operators, leaving too little pay for any one to try to do even a medium OK job? Too bad!
