Critical: Cleanliness, QualityI went in there to try and get a haircut. This was my first time there, and certainly the last. When I walked in, the lights were very dim and moody, some of the decor and items looked crusty and unclean, so it didn’t give me a lot of security. I asked one of the ladies for a haircut, but she just started washing my hair (i don’t know if it is customary to do so, but I did feel rather weirded out.) I did have to stop her when she was about to cut my hair without even asking what kind of haircut I wanted, which really just made me lose all sense of security. They tried to convinced me and insisted i get a haircut with a different barber, but I just couldnt bring myself to do it after that mishap. When I walked in, the lights were very dim and moody, some of the decor and items looked crusty and unclean, so it didn’t give me a lot of security. Grace is a terrific hairdresser! She always takes her time to do a thorough job and I always walk out of the salon feeling pampered and beautified whenever she does my hair. There were a few times where other hairdressers disregarded my preferences and ended up giving me a haircut that I didn’t want/like.

Bad experience there…make sure you know what you want before you start. I went to get my hair permed and the guy was all friendly until I didn’t choose the perm option he was pushing for (most expensive one). Afterwards, he was INCREDIBLY rough with my hair. His hands were so rough on my head that he took an earring off an ear!! He muttered a sorry and picked the earring off the ground to give back. I didn’t say anything then because I was in shock and disbelief that someone could be so rough. I feel like he took advantage of me looking young to do this without repercussion. He’s the guy with two kids in their 20s- forgot his name.

Grace is amazing! She is extremely talented. I moved 30 miles away and I keep coming here because I’m sure I will like my hair cut, highlights or color. The only annoying thing is that if they are busy, they will tell you to wait 10 min which really means an hour. Appointments are not respected most of the time. I always try to go there on slow days or very early/late. Prices are low to avergae for hair cut, and cheap for highlights. I recommend this place!
