While this place is very affordable, the spray tans are hit or miss. One of the machines always seems to be broken and the other sprays very noticeable splotches that I needed to rub to blend into my skin. Also, their payment plans are very weird. I wanted to cancel my membership (to save some money) and they told me I had to do it in person and it would still charge me for another month because I didn’t cancel before the “payment period”. Very strange.

I used to tan here and had a monthly membership for quite some time before I sold my house and moved. I was in Janesville visiting my Grandma as she was in the hospital and needed to relax afterward. I went to tan here and was told they do not sell single sessions. I tried explaining my situation but the woman behind the counter said I had to buy a package of 2 sessions.. I had my sister with me and asked if we could split it. Again the answer was no. We left and drove back to Madsion where I currently have a membership at a different establishment. I was very disappointed and will not come back here,even though it used to be my favorite place. What a shame- you lost out on money and left us with a very bad taste in our mouth. In this kind of circumstance I think you could have let us tan at a reasonable price as you were very slow and did not have many clinents. Instead you chose to send us away. No one won in this situation and it was very poor customer service.

Employees are all wonderful at this salon. You walk in and they already know what you want! They’re always offering great deals on sessions and lotions and have a huge selection of beds to try out. Best part is, the staff is knowledgeable on their stuff!

Came to try out this salon after seeing a promotional coupon that would allow me to try 4 of their different level beds plus a spray tan. I have previously tanned at every single salon in Janesville except for this one. Happy to say I am pleased with Sunset Tan. The beds are some of the nicest I’ve seen and the salon is very clean. All of the girls are very friendly and recommended the appropriate tanning times for each bed and products for me to make sure I didn’t burn since I hadn’t tanned in about a year. This is the first salon I have never gotten burned at while building up my tan because I feel the girls really took care and time to make sure I had a safe, but great tanning experience. I will definitely continue to tan here!
