So I called in as a new patient. They wouldn’t schedule my appointment without insurance, even though I had the letter prefix and I was in the insurance companies system. I told them it would be in effect in literally 5 days. They told me to call back on Nov 1st. After some back and fourth I managed to get an appointment date, which was over a month away. So in essence, they were going to have me call back 6 days from today only to tell me it would be longer than a month before I could be seen. Thanks but no thanks. I’ll find another dermatologist to spend my money with.

The front desk staff are very rude and unprofessional. I believe her name was Susan I talked to yesterday to try and cancel my appointment because I had an emergency come up and she just laughed in my face and kept getting an attitude with me. I work 12 hour night shifts and I tried to call multiple times 2 days before my appointment and nobody answered. When I can call about an appointment is very limited due to the times and days I work. But they don’t seem to understand that even though she stated she ‘understood.’

I love Sunrise Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center! I changed dermatologists, and I hate that I waited as long as I did. They started me on a new treatment plan including Vtama, and it is a game changer for me!

Everyone from front desk lady to exit in Dr Ramagosa office were exceptionally nice and helpful. Dr Ramagosa and his medical assistants made my appointment quite pleasant and had a few laughs too. Great team, thank you.

I went to see Dr. Ramagosa for the first time today to have fillers above my lips and on the corners of my mouth. He was so professional and nice. His Assistant, Hanna came in beforehand to explain the procedure to me. She, as well, was very professional but super nice in answering all of my questions. I would highly recommend Sunrise Dermatology!

Dr McKay is excellent! Her staff is very friendly, professional, and very competent. Dr McKay is very good at listening and then explaining things in a way that’s easy to understand. I had a procedure and she had great bedside manner and made sure I was comfortable. So grateful I found Sunrise Dermatology

My sixteen year old daughter went for a consultation with her father. I then schedule the follow up appointment thinking they would do the correct procedure. After doing the wrong procedure they still charged us. When ask for them to apply the money to the correct procedure they said she signed a consent form and they told her in detail what they were going to do. Abviously they have enough money not to care for their patients. My daughter has been going there since she was two. I highly recommend going somewhere else. Only giving a two so others can see this post.

Dr. Ramagosa is energetic, patient, knowledgeable, caring, and very professional. My first appointment with him was October 13, 2021. He carefully examined my skin and confidently diagnosed my problem. He answered my questions and clearly explained the medications he prescribed. Prior to seeing Dr. Ramagosa, I encountered a horrible receptionist. When I attempted to sign in to see him, the white receptionist pulled the clip board away and asked me to sign in on the other clip board. I signed before I realized it was to see a PA. I politely told the receptionist I have an appointment with Dr. Ramagosa. She held the clip board and would not allow me to sign to see Dr. Ramagosa. I told her again that my appointment is with Dr. Ramagosa. Because I was so persistent, she finally curtly told me you will see him. She never let me sign in to see Dr. Ramagosa. Was I pressured to see a PA on my first appointment at Sunrise Dermatology because I am a 74 year old black lady? After a very harrowing experience with the receptionist, I received superb service from Dr. Ramagosa. The five stars are for him.

Not only do I see Dr. McKay, but my daughter does as well. She is so sweet and gentle, and friendly. She gets it and understands. She listens and speaks clearly. Highly recommend her, but her staff is also top notch. Nice, friendly, work efficiently, and helps so much! Thank y’all
