Loved the fasted bed. Very much needed! Especially in these cold months. The staff was very welcoming and helped me pick out my favorite new tanning lotion which I got a sample of and ended up buying the bottle lol. All and all it was worth it. Will be back! Sunbed tanning

Whoa…. I kind of don’t know where to start on how awful the customer service is for this business. Are the tanning beds fine and clean? Yes. I have used them numerous times and have zero complaints in regards to the actual beds or sunless tanning. They also do run great specials. So why the 1 star review you ask? They are a nightmare to deal with regarding your Financials–and I do mean a NIGHTMARE. If they are trying to produce a “what not to do” business model for other companies, they would get a 1000/10. Luckily, we have never been a member and have never had any purchases auto-debited.

Horrible customer service. Employees are unprofessional and don’t disclose what they sign you up for. When I signed up, they assigned me the wrong membership that has a six month commitment. I’m maybe three weeks into my membership and I left a primer there that I was basically harassed to the point of purchasing. I used it two or three times max and accidentally left it at the salon. In their system, they can see when I purchased the primer and how many times I tanned after purchasing. (I know, that was my bad that I left it). I went to the salon to see if they had made a note in my file and held it for me. The employee rummaged through the lost and found and tried to give me an empty bottle of primer. Then she wouldn’t give me the one I identified as mine and told me to buy a new one. In my past tanning salon experience, if I left something in my room, a note was made in my file and whatever I left was held for x amount of days with a label on it! They are so unorganized here and show that they really don’t care about their clients. I have had issues with all three spray tans I’ve gotten here as well. An employee admitted to putting me in a spray tan booth that had multiple complaints from clients saying that it wasn’t spraying right. It was so bad that I had to spray two days in a row to look almost even. Instead of not using that booth, they continued to have people spray in it knowing it wasn’t working correctly. I’ve tried everything they recommend to do pre-spray, during the spray (such us primer and using hydration plus), and post spray. They always come out horrible. I’ve been using versapro for years and have only had issues at this salon. They only care about your money. Tan elsewhere. I’m not one to make reviews or complain, but this experience has left me no choice. If the spray tans were actually good, maybe there would be more stars, but you can tell they don’t keep up with maintenance and they really don’t care if a machine isn’t working properly. To make a quick buck they will compromise your tanning experience and tell you it’s your fault or admit to it and just laugh it off.

Terrible Customer Service! My experience: Ultimate Tan’s spray booth needed maintenance, so I decided to give Sun Tan City a try and it was a horrible experience. First, no one answered their phone so I could understand their process, so I called corporate who explained that we could just walk in without an appointment, that we didn’t need a membership to get a spray tan. So, my husband and I decided to visit after going boating for the afternoon; we arrive at the location at 7pm. When we walked in, there was no one else in the waiting area and a woman at the counter barely made eye contact and coldly stated that someone would be up in a minute to help us; she wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. A few minutes later, a young lady comes up and after telling her we wanted to spray tan, she states we will need a driver’s license. Surprised by this, since I have NEVER been asked for my driver’s license to tan and because I just came from the lake and didn’t have my license, I asked her “Why do you need my driver’s license? I’m 50 years old so I’m definitely old enough to tan”. she states that it is their policy. My husband then says,” I have my ID, will that work?” At that point, she informs us that she would need to ask her store manager. When she comes back, she asks if I have a copy or picture of my driver’s license and when I don’t, she informs me that I can’t tan. I tell her that I have a huge issue with this, that my husband had his ID and money and that the corporate office never explained this to us as part of the process and our house is clear across town – 20 min away. The store manager, Sierra, then comes out of her office and looks at me and asks again, “do you have a copy of your driver’s license?”, which I again state that I don’t. Her demeanor was rude, cold, unsympathetic and without any desire to propose a solution to the problem. I once again sate that I was extremely disappointed in their service and that this “driver’s license policy” to spray tan didn’t make any sense. I understand that if I wanted to sign up for a tan membership which required a credit card for autopayment, asking for my ID would make sense, but that isn’t what I was wanting. I told Sierra as we were leaving that I would make sure to get the message out on social media that Sun Tan City not only has silly policies for getting a spray tan but their customer service was also an issue. She made a snide remark stating something like, “Do whatever you want, that is up to you”. She never once apologized for the inconvenience, never tried to provide more insights into why this was a policy, and never tried to win us over as clients.

BEWARE! MEMBERSHIP POLICY IS A SCAM! I only needed a month use to get ready for a trip to Mexico so I didn’t burn. I tried to pre-cancel my membership with Sun Tan City on my first visit, meaning cancel my membership well before the month was up, but still use for the month I paid for. I was told by the store associate that my type of membership would not renew and I didn’t need to cancel. I was billed for a second month anyways.

Don’t bother with this sketchy chain. Would recommend going to any other local tanning salon. Even if they seem more expensive upfront they are not, because Sun Tan City has hidden fees. And every “promotion” they run has fine print. When I went to sign up for a monthly “no commitment” package they asked for my signature to verify that I am 18. They did not show me the paper work or offer to email it. I went ahead and signed because I thought that made sense and I had no reason to think they were scammers. Turns out I was signing to agree to an “annual membership fee” that you get regardless of if you are an annual membership. I called them and was directed to a costumer service line. There I was told I would get a refund in the next 7 business days. 16 business days after that I called again and they had changed their mind about the refund. TOTAL BULL

This place has horrible customer service. I canceled my membership and they continued to charge me for months after, I called customer service and they told me they could not refund me and there was nothing they could do. The staff constantly barrades their customers to buy new lotions everything they come in and they charge way more than most tanning companies for basic tanning beds.

Was very clear about only wanting a single month of tanning and was instead signed up for a recurring payment of over $100.00 a month?! Called to get it cancelled and have the money refunded as a mistake had been clearly made. I was told there was nothing they could do. I feel duped and very let down. Tanning
