Critical: Quality, ValueSo many beds have fans that don’t work. I only needed to tan a few weeks for a wedding but had to pay for 2 months so went with the cheapest route. You can tell they don’t care about customers that use this option. One of the main reasons I chose it was the hours until 9:00. Now they have shortened hours so barely have time to use it. So many beds have fans that don’t work. I only needed to tan a few weeks for a wedding but had to pay for 2 months so went with the cheapest route. Love it, I have tanned at suntan city for quite a few years now. Muscatine and dport and now iowa city. Ic is my favorite one!!!!! Always nice and respectful and on top of things here!!!!!

Critical: ValueHonestly terrible. Pay $80/month for unlimited tanning and they only have 2 instant beds so every time you go you have to wait 30+ minutes. Also they run so many specials like free tan week that the people who actually pay for memberships have to wait on everyone else to tan before they can. Not my cup of tea. Monthly Plans were higher than average in town. SUPER Hard sell on all products, especially lotions that are sometimes over $90/bottle and always found cheaper online. Customer service was poor at best. Staff were condescending and controlling with the time allowed in beds even after tanning for months elsewhere with no problems. Otherwise pretty clean and good quality beds. Nothing here to earn customer loyalty.

My first time back in a taking bed on a long time, probably longer than most of that staff has been alive 🙂 but they were great and very informative, the equipment had a lot of variables to offer. I picked a fairly medium grade package, and it was a very nice experience. In a very clean and well-kept facility.

Decent tanning salon. I never receive a proper welcoming or goodbye. The girls at the front are too busy gossiping. It seems like they are very snobby. The beds work okay. Prices are alright. Not a tanning salon to call home about.

Absolutely the WORST tanning salon I have ever been to. I feel awful for every girl who currently works there. It is no wonder that they ALWAYS have a ‘looking for tanning consultants’ sign up not to mention the constant advertising through the radio. But the beds are awful, NEVER clean, and they are completely overprices for the type of beds they are giving you. The management is just AWFUL. They have no idea what customer service is and that is why it is ALWAYS new girls working in there, because the retention rate is so low. I would not recommend anyone going to this salon, not even my worst enemy. Go to ANY other possible tanning salon in the area, and I would guarantee it would be better than this one. Trust me. I have been to a lot of tanning salons in my life and I am still in shock after the multiple experiences I had there.

They were completely rude and continue to give out false information. I attended during their “start a membership for $1 and tan for the rest of the month free” promotion in which I was told that neither of those promotions existed. I was told I had to pay to tan and pay either $39, $49, or $59 to start a membership, which is the complete opposite of what they’d been promoting. Not to mention it was posted all around the salon that it was $1 to join and tanning was free until the end of the month. I ended up spending $20 on some “tour” promotion in which you get 4 tanning sessions and a spray tan. I was told I could come and use them whenever. I attended 2 times that week and when I went back the next week (for my final tan sessions and spray tan) I was told “that promotion expired.” I was NEVER told when I purchased this package that it even had limitations on when it can be used, I explained this to the woman working and that I was very upset because I essentially paid for nothing as I didn’t even get to utilize the sessions that I had paid for. She said “yeah well all I can offer you is to pay for more tanning.” And then the worker next to her chimed in with “well our assistant manager sold you the membership so she obviously told you it expired after a week.” I said absolutely not. They simply rolled their eyes and ignored me. I’ve never felt so misled by a company.
