Been going to Sun Tan City since 2010 and love that the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the products and beds. I use the expensive beds and love that they keep the bulbs changed frequently. Also, each salon is kept very nice and clean.

I signed up for the spray tan membership. Shortly after I was relocated to Florida for work. I contacted customer service, offered to provide proof of relocating to a state where there are no Sun Tan City locations. I was basically told, too bad , you’re going to be paying for a year membership. They refused to cancel my membership and I had to close my bank account to stop the charges. Absolutely zero empathy. If I ever move back to the area I will definitely go elsewhere.

Hands-down I received the best customer service in a long time at Sun Tan city on Ankeny blvd on July 3. The two girls working the front desk around 630 were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The computers were down and they didn’t even seem stressed. I haven’t been to a tanning salon in quite some time and chose to take advantage of the tanning bed and a spray tan and they helped me every step of the way and made me feel extremely comfortable. Nice to see that kind of genuine help!
