Critical: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI’m not sure who the two girls are that were working tonight but they could use a crash course in basic customer service. There was a long wait for the beds which is understandable but she told me and the guy next to me two totally different wait times for the same bed. I could see the doors were open to the beds we were in so I was confused other than cleaning what needed to be done. I asked if I could upgrade since the instant bed was open and she said the wait time would be the same for that bed. All of that aside it was the attitude I got back. Typically the girls are really kind and well spoken but that was far from my experience tonight and they sounded like they had literally no idea what they were talking about. There was a long wait for the beds which is understandable but she told me and the guy next to me two totally different wait times for the same bed. Critical: ValueI just signed up during the ‘$1 to join’ week. They STILL charged me a $20 membership fee on my first months billing. Doesn’t ‘$1 to join’ mean the membership is no longer $20, it’s $1?? That’s how I understood it. So when I checked my bank account, there was a charge for $69.99 instead of $49.99 like it should’ve been. The employee who signed me up said word for word in the salon “you will be charged $49.99 on the first of March”. The employee never mentioned anything about the yearly $20 fee. I called the manager, Nicole, and she was very unhelpful and apathetic. She said “it was in the contract you signed. Everyone pays $20 yearly to tan here”. Then I proceeded to explain to Nicole that the employee never let me read any documents before signing. She just said sign here that I told you how it works. She didn’t take ownership for her employee giving false information/leaving out information to the customer. She never apologized or seemed like she cared. That mistake does not fall on the customer, it’s on the manager for poor training. A $20 credit to my account would resolve this issue for me and I’d be happy to recommend this business, but Nicole refused to do such a thing. So I’m leaving this review to warn everyone about the hidden fees and charges you should expect. It’s always all about the money people. The girl was pushing me nonstop to purchase some package and telling me what to do after I said multiple times that I just want the simple free spray tan. Coming from someone with a strong background in marketing and sales, I don’t appreciate them trying to sell me 20 times after I told them that I am not interested. These people are so salesy that it’s exhausting. I went in today and all I wanted was the free spray tan that they have going on. The girl was pushing me nonstop to purchase some package and telling me what to do after I said multiple times that I just want the simple free spray tan. Coming from someone with a strong background in marketing and sales, I don’t appreciate them trying to sell me 20 times after I told them that I am not interested. I just went in for a spray tan for the first time since the Covid shutdown, and it was a great experience! You now have to check in online but I didn’t know that at the time. So the manager Nicole was super friendly and helped me get that set up. The salon was super clean and efficient- no more using the fingerprint to verify, no signing receipts. I highly recommend anyone wanting to go get some color, head to the Fishers salon!

If I could give this salon a 0 I would. My girlfriend and I checked in at the same exact time for spray tans and I was immediately put into a bed and then we proceeded to wait for OVER AN HOUR before she was placed into a spray bed. Horrible customer service as well. They kept saying the spray beds weren’t “working” even though multiple people were going in and out of the spray beds. What a terrible experience. Never had a problem with sun tan city until this location.

Wow, Alexis went above and beyond her role to make sure that I had a great first experience! She talked me through each of my options and made sure that I felt comfortable with the machine before getting my first spray tan. I have worked in customer service before so I know how it goes day in and day out dealing with people, but Alexis made me feel like it was the first time she had ever answered the questions that I had! She even made a copy of the membership deals and sent it home with me. I will be going back! Thanks so much again Alexis!

Do not buy the birthday bash. It is a package for a bed that DOES NOT EVEN EXIST!!!!!! So, they want to charge more money to upgrade and NO you may not have a refund. How stupid is that? Not very happy and I will suggest everyone to find a different tanning salon, that has a bed you actually purchased a package to use.

He tanned after about 5 minutes waiting while the front desk girls took care of the other guests in line. People started to trickle in and as i looked around more people who had checked in after me have tanned. I asked to see what was taking so long and they said a malfunction with a machine. My boyfriend came back into the salon to see what was taking so long. They explained there were also other people waiting which i would understand but i also saw several people getting spray tans and walking in after i have Checked in. Hadnt spray tanned still and no one seems to be able to work the front desk. I had To talk to 3 employees to actually tan. Then when i expressed my discontent for talking to several employees after waiting they explained that it was a new employee and she didn’t know how to do anything.
