I use this salon on a daily basis. Tonight when I arrived I was met by an extremely rude and unprofessional sales clerk. I was told that my membership was expired and I was extremely appalled that I wasn’t told that when I was tanning monday. I felt like the clerk was going to refuse me to tan if I didn’t renew my membership. She wasn’t apologetic either. I was under the impression that my membership was active on a monthly basis. I have never had a bad experience until now. I also requested that the mgr call me to discuss this.

Very friendly staff. It is a tanning place is all I can say. Only go because my wife likes to tan before going on vacation to keep from burning when we get there. Very expensive and do not understand why.

This is absolutely perfect for keeping a year around tan. Love the ladies that work in Ooltewah and Cleveland. The facility is always clean. The employees are always friendly. They always have a great sale going on. You should check this out! It’s a wonderful way to treat yourself.

This location discriminates against men and will not hire men. Myself and a Coworker/friend applied here at the Ooltewah location. I applied a week before she did and told her I applied so then she applied as well, a couple of days ago to be exact. I called and spoke to the manager and she said they were staffed and would look at the application. They called my friend (a female) today about coming in for a interview. My friend has less availability than what I could work but still got a call. I call to speak with an area manager and they try to let me speak to the store manager and I advised my issue was with her and so I hung up!! She actually called my home number back!! Then proceeds to get nasty with me when I call her out about it. She says well your friend had the hours I needed, and I was like I had the same hours plus more, but she left it at that and did not make any sense. Who calls back to pick a fight or antagonize the situation?? Apparently the managers do. Regardless I will be cancelling my yearly tanning membership and tanning elsewhere. I have been tanning at this location for a while and have NEVER seen a guy working there but the other locations I have!!

I only took off one star because when I used the spray tan for the first time the instructions I was given were so fast and apparently I didn’t donas instructed because it was uneven and looked terrible! I didn’t get told to wash it off my hands and feet and they looked like rust! Other than that, my experience with suntan city has been great! Wonderful employees!!!

Suntan city appears to use all the general rules for social distancing, masks, and cleanliness. No high pressure selling which is great! Nice staff and a great place to get your tan on whether its spray or UV!
