Beds are amazing. Last year customer service was above exceptional! This year I am less than pleased and never feel warmly greeted. They require ID at every visit. I understand they are avoiding theft, but only willing to accept a DL that can be scanned. So, don’t expect to stop in unexpectedly or forget your wallet. It’s literally easier to ID at the airport. Additionally, they “make you show” your eyewear. Again, safety, but will not permit disposable because “some people buy one pair and show them each time”. So be prepared to be forced to buy a pair and show them in order to be permitted to use equipment. Feels parental. Not a welcoming experience. Definitely looking for other options.

I am not going to lie, IN THE PAST, I have had some… less than favorable experiences at this location. But it seems like they have really turned things around since my last visit! Stuart was beyond helpful and kind. The others working were on their A-game as well. Making sure customers were HAPPY and taken care of, while also making sure the beds were clean and prepared. Critical: ProfessionalismThe beds are great but the customer service is so bad. I asked for the membership to end after 1 month and I continued to get charged. I tried to call the store multiple times a day and no one answered the phone. When I finally got the online chat, they wouldn’t provide the refund because I didn’t have a cancellation email which is not my fault. Positive: Professionalism, QualityI usually go to the Cary location, but I was visiting family here in Greenville. Lauren was very helpful, and explained why it was important to switch between the instant and fastest. I had only been doing the instant, not knowing why I wasn’t seeing much color. She also asked how I was liking my shore love lotion, and let me know not to leave it in the car, as she did the same and it ruined her lotion.When I checked in she seemed perplexed that my account had two packages, but let me go on and tan. She actually looked into my account AFTER I had left. She found that I had been overcharged by $348 at the Cary location, looked up my phone number and called me to let me know she alerted client services, and I would be receiving a refund. Not a great experience here. I only needed 1 spray tan for the Bahamas in March and it turned into the girl talking me into getting a month membership, which I did and that was fine. I loved my spray tan. I happened to come back in April to move my things home from my apartment and told the girl at the desk I needed to cancel my membership as well because I would no longer be in Greenville after that weekend. After checking my bank account yesterday I was charged for both May and June because she never cancelled my account like I asked. Complete waste of $100.

I had a GREAT experience here today. I went in to try out their spray tan and left extremely impressed. Alex helped me figure out which bed and time was best for me. She explained every step of the process. I am super excited for my next visit. I can already see my results and look forward to maintaining this look.

I absolutely love tanning here. It is a highlight of my day coming here, between the friendliness of the staff, and the affordable services they provide. Everyone is always smiling and I have grown to feel extremely close with the people here! The beds are always top of the line and extremely clean, and I couldn’t think of a single thing to complain about here, even if I tried. Highly Recommend!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI have spent the last three days trying to call, use their chat services and now I have been sitting on hold for 45 minutes with their corporate office. I have received terrible customer service and I was told “the system could not refund me” for the month I am being charged that the salon is closed. My husband received military orders and we are moving where there are no salons. I simply asked to be refunded for the month of May, since the salon was open for 1 week before the governor required them to shut down again. They told me they will offer me the month of June at a discount to make up for the days they are closed this month, but they refuse to refund me, even though I followed the contract and notified my salon 30 days out that I would be canceling at the end of May. (This is after me saying I don’t expect a refund for the half month of March that they were also closed because of COVID.)Please don’t support companies that can’t support our active duty military members and their families. I am outraged at the poor quality of service and the blatant disregard for their customers during this pandemic. I have received terrible customer service and I was told “the system could not refund me” for the month I am being charged that the salon is closed. The manager was rather deceptive in her conversations with me. I feel like they were using the bait and switch sales tactic every time I went in. I would definitely think they would realize and change their bad business practices and use better management skills especially since they have an F rating on the BBB. This company has demonstrated how highly unethical they are and how they scam people. The only reason I went to Suntan city was because the cleanliness and the quality of their beds, but I would much rather go somewhere of lower caliber than to deal with a company that is okay with doing this to customers. Horrible customer service on both local and corporate level.
