Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean facility, but worst result for sunless spray tan. I followed directions I was given and I have had spray tans in the past. I used primer that was recommended. Very convenient location. I could go tanning and do my grocery shopping all in one stop. The facility is very clean and they have a large selection of tanning beds and booths. The staff was very friendly and was not too pushy about the specials like some places can be.

Had a horrible experience with planet fitness next door so we came over here to sun tan city to tan instead. I can’t even explain the difference in customer service and satisfaction, polar opposites!! The girl here, a red head with freckles and a pretty super friendly smile whose name I should have made a mental note of, was awesome and should be acknowledged for the first extra high level of customer service offered. It doesn’t seem like much but planet fitness had turned my mood into something ugly with the service I received there. I come here completely out of patience and cheer and this girl and her helpful happy service undoes the damage done next door and now I’m leaving in a good mood once again! Thanks sun tan city! I may pay a little bit more coming to you for tanning but I feel like it’s definitely worth it this week and if planet fitness at home isn’t as great as you have been expect a new customer forever in Portland as well!!

The Lady’s here are super helpful. They greet you with a smile and chipper attitude. If there’s an issue they’re quick get you a resolution. They sanitize the beds after each use. They require mask when you enter. They also ask that you maintain the 6 foot rule as well.

love this place. its relaxing and the employees are all very friendly any helpful with anything you need. the beds are kept up with and kept cleaned between each person’s use. I would recommend the sun tan city salons to anyone looking to get a spray tan or looking to get tan by tannin beds. I’ve been to the bangor maine and brewer Maine locations and I love both of them. so if tour debating on going or starting a membership of say go for it treat yourself get that tan your looking for along with having that time as a nice down time to close your eyes and relax.

I never write negative reviews, but the staff member who I interacted with this morning changed my mind. I got there and they weren’t quite open. At 9AM promptly an associate opened the doors. I greeted her with a smile and said “Good morning! How are you?” Without looking at my she flatly said”Name?” She proceeded to process my transaction with such an attitude of disdain that I said Are you okay? Are you having a bad day?” Never glanced up and just said “No” like I had asked her for her social security number! Never asked me if I needed any product, never even made eye contact. What a rude, insolent person! I will find another establishment for spray tanning!

I went last night for the first time and the girls were really nice. They had me make an account, and explained all the packages so I could pick the one that suited me best. They also gave me good suggestions as to how long I should tan, so I didn’t roast myself in the bed. The bed itself was clean, and all the controls worked just fine. I’ll be back again soon!

The equipment here is outdated and worn. There is very little upkeep. Everything in the place has wear marks and labels/stickers worn down from years of use. There was even a period where the TV screen behind the desk at the entrance was broken. The employees are all unfriendly and unprofessional and gossip directly in front of customers like they aren’t there. Beds are rarely upgraded. The top beds at this location are the second tier down at the location in the next town over.

The only bad thing about this location is the staff. They are so unwilling to help you unless you buy lotion. Just to go into tan they are rude. The manager specifically. I needed a refund and she looked like I ruined her whole day. She did not once look at me or say a word. If you don’t enjoy dealing with the public then this certainly isn’t the right job for you. Another option would be to just treat your guests with respect.

Have been tanning for years, decided to try some place new cause I was given a buddy pass and I liked there hours but I walked out before even signing up. The lady would not let me say no to selling me lotion that was super overpriced (knew I can get it somewhere cheaper), so after saying no twice and her telling me there was no point to tanning then I decided to leave. Won’t go back.
