Critical: ProfessionalismI had signed up for 4 visits at 49.99 which the girl at the front desk told me it would be 30% off then I bought lotion that was $69 with 33%off. The total came to $101 and some change. I got home and realized they must have overvharged me. There was no one at the front desk when I left. I spoke with the girl and she even agreed the price seemed much to high with the discounts she was going to speak to the manager and someone would call me back. I went in yesterday and I asked about the over charge . The manager was so rude and condescending. She said the package was 49.99 no discount. I tried to explain what the girl said about the discount and she just basically told me I was wrong and they did everything correct. I have 2 more visits there and I don’t want to go back. I have been a customer at SunTanCity since August of 2018, Megan who is the Manager there is a smart ,very knowledgeable,amazing asset to this business as well as her staff!! From the moment you walk in to the smiling friendly faces and gracious staff, to the extremely clean salon, floors, and all equipment is impeccable working order with bulbs that are changed on a regular basis!! The spray tan rooms are also Extremely clean!! And in perfect working order! Megan and her staff are there to make your tanning visit, questions, or anything that you may feel uneasy about more at ease!! Plus they have many different lotions etc.. to get anyone started!! So don’t be afraid to ask these girls anything they have your answer!! Go see Megan, get a beautiful Tan, you will be happy you did!!

The first young woman who sold me my membership was wonderful. I went in the next day to spray tan, first ever, so I was a little unsure what to do. The young woman that helped me out wasn’t overly friendly. I had explained it was my first time and made sure I understood her directions. I waited for the voice to tell me to go to next position, it never happened. So as the story goes… I was sprayed only on my face side, then the water started to clean the machine. I immediately called the front desk, I told them what happened and they said they would call me back. I looked hideous. The only thing I could think of was to wash as much off with the wipes they had while I waited for the call back. Finally they called me back and said they would turn the machine back on and I could get the rest of my body! Really? How would that equal out! So they told me to go home and scrub as hard as I could to get it all off. When I explained that the voice never came on, they looked at me like I had 3 heads, I have never felt so degraded and feeling stupid by associates before. They told me to come back after my shower and re-do the tan. No refund “sorry it already went thru” Of course no way! That experience was enough!! So on a better note, the tanning beds and rooms are nice. I hope the beds keep the right time

When there, it seems when one of the girls isn’t there, they don’t play country ( not a huge fan) and turns up the decent music. So good some days not others. Completely understand some people like country. They always seems clean and properly staffed.

My experience here has been repeatedly horrible. Booths are broken half the time for spray tans. The staff doesn’t seem knowledgeable on the plans. You get different information each time you go. They never advise of expiration dates so be sure to ask and get it in writing because it will change. I purchased a plan several months ago and now they installed new spray tan systems and everything is an additional cost. I’d love to see another chain open because, unfortunately, they are the only game in town. If you can drive elsewhere.. do so!

I got a membership at the Stratham sun tan city back in March. I signed up for a 6 month session for $38.00 a month. Every time I went in there the girls at the front desk were very uninterested in working, rude, and got mad at me for not buying a lotion when I had just bought one on the previous visit. I chose to ignore the snarkyness from the girls, because I was only there for one reason and that was to get a great tan. I found out a couple months ago that I am pregnant, but I didn’t bother canceling my membership because I knew my 6 months were up. Here it is 9 months later and I am still being charged monthly. I called today to let them know and before I could even finish my sentence the girl at the desk said “yeah that’s because you have to cancel online, or in person” I was confused. Why would I sign up for a 6 month session if I wanted to continue to be charged for the rest of the year? She said.. “well that’s how it is, she probably circled it for you on your contract but you forgot.” RUDE. I asked her if she would mind canceling it for me now as we were on the phone and she said “nope, you have to do that online”. End of conversation. I am very disappointed and 3 months over charged!

Huge and clean salon. However the spray tan booth and solution is straight TRASH!! Such a waste time and money. The Sun tan City spray booth in Augusta Maine gave me amazing results this place on the other hand HAD A CHEAP NO NAME BOOTH AND SUPER CHEAP TANNING SOLUTION! LOOKS SUPER FAKE AND BLOTCHY! THE EXPERIENCE was highly disappointing!!!! Not a happy customer!!
