Critical: Professionalism(photo is work from True Touch) I dont typically go out of my way to do reviews, but my experience here merits a review. I don’t know the name of the man who typically answers the salon’s calls, but today, that was the individual I was very displeased by.To begin with, I have shown him a Photo of a French oval manicure and asked if that was something he knew how to do. He replied confidently yes. Again I am a customer assuming that people who are doing the services are capable of doing what they say they can. By the time we got to him about to apply the red French tip on my nail, I realized he was going to apply it over a completely clear coat where you would still see my under nail and flaws. Nothing like the photo. So I asked, and he rudely brought me a nail polish palette to choose a color. Assuming this was the process, I chose the “nude” color that would essentially help the red pop and hide my nail bed. It was not the right process. I told him I wasn’t happy, and he immediately started to blame me rather than try to understand where I’m coming from. So I did have an altercation with him where I told him he is the “expert” and should not have taken a nail job he wasn’t able to do as it so clearly showed he had no idea what he was doing.I told them I’d pay only for the set and my pedicure but not the color. Still was charged $71, and went to True Touch nails 6 miles away where they fixed the mess that was happening on my nails. Including removing the gel that was left and applying the correct acrylic to hide nail.I live down the street and would rather drive miles away that to ever give them my business. First time coming here. It was near my hair salon. They had a high review rating so I went. Omg the lady was rough. Ouch! She must have been new because she didn’t even know how to drain the water and her co worker looked and sounded frustrated with her. She started painting my nails and it was awful. It was patchy. I could see my mail still in areas. I tried to stop her and she pushed my hand away twice. I was telling the other employees I didn’t want her to finish that I wanted someone else. They stared and ignored me. 3 times I asked for assistance and they finally got someone else to finish it. It was better. I gave a small tip to the lady who finished the pedicure. She told me to give it to the other woman. I told she could if she wanted to she could but not me. My feet were still hurting for about 20 mins after . I would never go there again or recommend them.

So far, this is my most favorite place in the A.V. I had been reluctantly going to two different places, one in Quartz Hill by the Walgreens, The other on Rancho Vista, next to Starbucks. They both have the aesthetics, the beautiful decor and fancy lights, but they have that “Super Stank-Stuck-Up, No Customer Relations Etiquette” and privileged attitude. They only talk to each other, ignoring you and your requests, making you feel second place while working on you. Plus their prices are hiked way up, and …. they’re not that good and do a half-butt job, as less as possible. I always felt awefull giving them my money after I was done. Sun Nails is not the fanciest, but most of them at least smile, and have nice attitudes, most will communicate with you, but they all do a very good job, a much more thorough job, with more reasonable prices.

Love love love this place. So clean and professional. My nail lady is Tiffany which goes above and beyond to do an excellent job each time. Megan is the owner and so sweet and caring and will step in and do any service needed. Great atmosphere!!!!

The lady took 2 hours to do my nails. They’re too short as well. They were fine when she cut them but she kept filing them down until they were super short. The powder was also too thick and very gloppy looking. I will not be returning.
