I wish I could give this facility a 0 star. They are so unorganized. I spoke to a black receptionist on Wednesday to book an appointment on Friday. I had never had sugaring done and wanted to know more about it, which the receptionist had no knowledge. I requested to speak with someone who could give me details before I came to the appointment. I spoke with Rachel, who is the owner and she told me about the service. Well, today is Friday and as I showed up at my appointment, the black receptionist couldn’t find the appointment. She went to get Rachel, who stated she remember speaking to me and asked if I called back to make an appointment. Why would I do that when I had already made the appointment and confirmed with Rachel, who stated it doesn’t take long. She leaves at 3pm. So Rachel tells me she is booked and cannot see me but she has another girl that could get me in 5 minutes. I told her no. I’m sure I would have gotten someone who was new and not knowledgeable. So Rachel, you lost a potential customer. This was my first time going to the facility and definitely will be my last. I would encourage everyone to go elsewhere for services. This place is horribly unorganized and unprofessional.

I was a walk in customer on a Monday evening. Mika did my wax and she did a great job. My first time sugar wax wasn’t painful at all. She was very friendly and made be feel completely comfortable. If I return I am requesting Mika. However the front desk receptionist didn’t appear to be in a good mood. She didn’t want to explain the different between regular waxing and sugar waxing to a customer over the phone. I thought that was a logical question. I would have loved to know the difference too but clearly the question annoyed her. The place was beautifully decorated and clean. The service was exceptional and I would definitely recommend this business. Front desk girl, work on the tude.

I moved to Memphis from AZ where I had the same esthetician sugaring me for 3 years. I did not realize how talented she was until I had to visit Sugaring NYC in Memphis . I hadn’t been sugared in almost a year the first time I came here. I first visited this location in June for a full Brazilian/cheek/inner thigh sugaring. My esthetician was extremely kind, but it became apparent pretty quickly she lacked in technique and was still in training. When I left I was sticky with sugar paste (even made it onto my nails and shirt). I started to experience regrowth 4 DAYS after my first service with them (a full Brazilian sugaring typically keeps me smooth for 2 weeks, sometimes 3). I called them to let them know I was unhappy with my service, and something was not done correctly. They said they’d made notes on my file for the next appointment and that they’d make it right. When I went back 4 weeks later for my 2nd appointment, they’d put me with the same esthetician – this experience was worst than the first! The esthetician got the sugar stuck to my inner thigh and tried one too many times to remove it (I’d find out after my appointment that her multiple attempts at removal bruised my inner thigh). She had to call for backup and have another esthetician come in to remove it. For the duration of my appointment, I was stuck to the wax paper they put on the table from the clump of sugar she got stuck to my inner thigh. When I got up to get dressed, not only did I have to remove the wax paper and tons of sugaring product from the tops of my thighs, when I looked in the mirror I’d noticed hair was still present in a visible bikini area spot where it should not have been. At checkout, I was not offered any type of credit for the first appointment that they claimed to have noted, so I did not book a follow up appointment. 8 days later I’m experiencing a mess of ingrown hairs (extremely out of the norm for me). I will NOT be returning her for anymore sugaring services.

Let me first say I had a list of services and she had not one complaint & was amazing outgoing & had me happy the whole time. Lets be realistic, you have to be comfortable when opening up the way you do and these ladies are understanding outgoing beautiful & can answer whatever questions and concerns you have.
