Visited Sugaring NYC today in Happy Valley. I was greeted at the door by Elise who was my Sugarista. Elise was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. This was my first sugaring experience and I was skeptical. Elise explained the process thoroughly and took her time while paying attention to detail allowing my experience to be one worth repeating. I appreciated how she handled herself and I would fully recommend her as a Sugarista!

I came here today to get my underarms done and Ivette did a great job! The girls here are always so nice and assuring! I come here often and the salon is always clean! So happy to have a sugaring salon near my house! I’ve seen a few girls here and they are very fast which I like. I recommend coming here or trying sugaring here! I had a couple of free services too when the new girls were training if you want try before you buy!

I decided to give sugaring a try. My leg hair was totally grown out from being sick for a long time with covid and too tired to shave. They got me in same day, were so kind and supportive. Made me feel really calm. I do not tolerate pain very well, but I made it through this! Hurts WAY less than any waxing I’ve ever had. Not saying it pain free, just significantly more doable. Also, the place is so darn cute with all the pink everywhere! The tech was awesome and checked in with me frequently to make sure I was doing ok. I’d recommended this to anyone and do it myself again.

I visited this location, as it is so much closer to my home. After my last experience with the West Linn location, I did not want to give up on the whole business over one esthetician (you can find my review of the West Linn location as well). This esthetician at the Happy Valley location was easy to talk to and was quick at her job. I only had my underarms waxed this time, so I expected about 10-15 minutes. Because I have been consistent with my underarm sugar waxing, the hair is thin, sparse, and easy to rip out of its follicles now, so the appointment was only about 5 minutes! I never thought I would get a compliment on my underarm hairs, haha! I suggest giving this location a chance, just as I did. I will be returning to this location!
