I always have a great experience at Sugar Coat in Vinings. Julie did a spectacular job on my acrylics and gel ombre stiletto. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she replicated the design perfectly. I also received a pristine gel pedicure with a sugar scrub. I can tell Julie takes pride in her work because she made certain everything was perfect and I truly appreciate her attention to detail. Julie is a super sweet lady and I highly recommend her services. Everyone at SC is very nice and welcoming. As always, the shop is clean, organized and aesthetically beautiful. I do wish the parking situation was better, though. I’d suggest arriving early for your appointment to secure parking.

Julie is an amazing nail artist and I love her creativity. Showed Julie a screenshot of someone’s Pintrest post and she not only replicated the design, but also improved it! Medium length nude ballerina with a gold outline (acrylics). I also booked an escape to Fiji pedicure w/ matching nude gel polish. 10/10 every time. Acrylic nails, Gel manicures, Nail art, Foot massages, Pedicure, Manicure

Julie is absolutely amazing!! I’ve struggled to love acrylics before finding her. I break my SNS nails, no matter who does them or what I try, so acrylics are my only option. However, I’ve always had major issues with my acrylics lifting and not lasting in the past. I’ve been told by many a nail tech in the past that it was just my nail beds and there was nothing I could do. Flash forward to finding Julie, and my acrylics last 3 weeks between fills no problem! She does SUCH an amazing job, and everything is always perfect. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she always makes sure I’m happy with everything. Pick Julie and you won’t be disappointed!

I have been coming here for almost 2 years and they were always great until recently. The staff has totally changed and I have been over charged the last 3 times I’ve been there. Twice they didn’t ask and did a manicure with my sns, normally I’d been fine with this but their “manicure” is just cutting your cuticles so for $10 extra it’s a rip off. This last time, their prices increased but the new price wasn’t updated on the online booking system. They eventually honored the price after telling me it’s correct online but my confirmation email proves otherwise. I will not be back.

I am visiting Vinings and needed a pedicure. I was a walk-in appointment and got Lauren for my tech. She was VERY concerned with the way my feet were sitting every second and kept having me move them! I’ve never had that before and I get pedis all the time. The pedi that she did is nice, it was just not fun to have constant directions.

Beautiful yet basic salon. I reminds me of the modern IKEA furniture, simplistic, functional, affordable and pretty but flimsy and not comfortable. You have to share a tough bench with the person next to you for pedicures and the foot basin is really just a sink so nothing fancy. They make it seem like they’re busy when you call to try and make an appointment but when I walked in after not being able to get an appointment before work, they were able to take me in about 20 minutes (I was quoted 4pm the day before, I walked in around 12 the next day). I walked in and was greeted by the owner I told her I just needed gel polish ($20) and she asked me to pick a color. They seemed to have decent lacquer nail colors, I didn’t like they they didn’t have a color wheel for the gel colors, you have to open each bottle to really see each color which was a little time consuming. The manicure tables are “community” style beneath the chandeliers and all of their appliances are “cordless” to go with the theme. Personally I don’t think the lighting at the tables were really sufficient for doing detailed work which might have attributed to the poor paint job on my long nails. The technician painted in thick short strokes piling it on, I asked if she was going to smooth it out with a file before the top coat… she promised she would but didn’t to my expectations. After the top coat I had to leave for work, my polish was thick, lumpy and rough on a few nails, I was also charged $35 for a full gel manicure (which I didn’t ask for). I just got more an more irritated looking at my nails throughout the day. Maybe I just expected a little more based off of reviews and location, but then again long nails aren’t a thing here. NOTE: I have edited my review from 2 to 3 stars after the owner smoothed and repolished my nails the next day.

I had my first appt at this location and I was very happy with my experience. I booked my appointment online with Julie based on a review from another customer. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. Julie exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend her. She is talented and professional. She helped me narrow down what kind of design to get and offered suggestions. Julie takes her time and gets to know her client.

This had to be the WORST nail salon experience that I have EVER had in my whole life!! We got there a little late cause it was difficult to find. Once our water was “ready”, we sat down and only 1 person came to do mine but left my husband in overflowing water. Then the lady that was doing my “pedicure” was doing an AWFUL job at it. She didn’t clean my nails at all and proceeded to run lotion on my WET legs with her WET hands. So you can imagine it wasn’t dissolving, but she kept going until eventually she rubbed it off w a towel . I then told her I didn’t want the other leg because I was very annoyed and ready to leave, then she asked why. To which I responded “I’m not interested and I don’t want it”. Of course she proceeds to rub my other leg with oil. I nearly exploded I removed my legs and put on my shoes to leave. Mind you the entire time this lady was playing with my feet, my husband was still sitting with his feet in water. No one attended to him and no one could answer as to why no one was doing his pedicure. He ended up drying off his feet and we left. I told them that “pedicure” wasn’t worth $28, and they said I didn’t have to pay anything (without argument I might add). I’ve loved Sugarcoat but now I will only go to the John’s Creek location. This was just an “ugh” experience. Never again….

I made a pedicure appt four days in advance for my daughter (age 6) and myself. It was my daughter’s first pedicure and a birthday gift, I let the receptionist know this when I made the appt. The appt was set for 12:30. I was seating at 12:30, but my daughter was not helped until 1pm, her feet were pruned and out of the cold water way before her tech (Angel) arrived. After being 30 minutes late, the nail tech spent TEN minutes with her. It was hardly a fulfillment of the description on the website. It was clear the tech wanted to move on the jobs that would render more money. A kid’s pedicure is $20 dollars. My daughter wanted a stripe on both of her big toes and I was charged an additional $5 for this- I was not notified of the upcharge. The tech was polite to my daughter, but the service was hardly what it should have been, especially with an appt made way in advance. As a mother, for my daughter’s first experience, it was really upsetting and overpriced for what was received.

I made an appointment 4 hours in advance and had to wait an entire hour after the appointment to be seen by the technician. This was after me having to motion over to the receptionist twice asking why I had to wait so long when I had a scheduled appointment and others were being taken right in. Mismanagement big time. the technician who was a gentleman was a sweetheart was very kind. It was not his fault. He apologized and did a good job on my nails. He completed SNS with nail design. He was skillful, thorough and attentive to what I wanted.
