I went to Sugar and Hive for the first time yesterday. I hadn’t had a facial in months and my skin definitely needs some TLC. My esthetician was Amal and I will 100% keep seeing her. She explained a process for my skin to get where I want to be including what my next treatment should be and products I should switch out. The atmosphere was amazing. I immediately decided to join their membership because I knew I’d take advantage. I’m picky about spas and beauty services because I’ve often felt like the staff constantly tries to upsell or offer unnecessary services, that was not the case with Sugar and Hive. I will be recommending them to everyone 🙂

I came in for a signature hydrafacial which was supposed to be 45 minutes. I was taken to my room at 2:17 and was asked several question which I had already completed online. The room was stifling hot and bright, not at all relaxing. My treatment was finished and I gathered my things, paid at the front desk, and received my email receipt at 2:57 which means my treatment was well under 45 minutes. For $235 I would at least expect the treatment to go for the allotted time. The worst part is that I arrived home and my pores were still clogged with visible blackheads on my nose and chin. I experienced no sensitivity, redness, or irritation which tells me that the treatment was probably not thorough enough. This treatment should have been much more than a gentle cleanse.
