Got my hair done the day before Thanksgiving. Kinky twist went earlier in week to book appt and was told hair was available, didn’t have hair for orginal style I wanted then she saw my hair at this point was like well you can get box braids. I didn’t want box braids so we agreed to kinky twist which she still didn’t have hair for so I went to store got hair. Appt time already was pushed back an hour only after I was near did I get a call asking to come later. Ok finally started hair then the owner left and had another lady do my hair in the back. Owner then came back some hours later to complete my front. Not even a week later most of the braids in the back of my head was so loose. I called she offered to fix in a couple of days she took out a good 3 rows of braids that’s how bad they was. She the owner redid them. They still are not looking like they were just redone after a week or 2.. For $220 not included hair you would think the braids would look better and last longer. I used to come to this shop years ago left area returned and this is what I get. Not thanks. Pic Dec 3

Let me tell you, I Had The Best Experience ever with this shop. I have a Tender Head and The braids wasn’t hurting me. They Were so gentle on with my hair. They are so Clean and neat. Always Sanitized everywhere even the combs are sanitized.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityHORRIBLE People !!!!!I recently was discharged from the hospital after being diagnosed with GBS and was looking for a new hair style to symbolize a fresh start. I was left with a sad experience and the realization that these people do not possess the least bit of human decency. After telling me the hairstyle I wanted they could not do they charged me an additional 60 dollars for a similar hairstyle . Once I agreed to the price she then proceeded to charge an additional 20 dollars for having to comb through my matted hair (from being in the hospital). They were rude and lacked professionalism. HORRIBLE People !!!!!I recently was discharged from the hospital after being diagnosed with GBS and was looking for a new hair style to symbolize a fresh start. I was left with a sad experience and the realization that these people do not possess the least bit of human decency. This place is super clean, hand sanitizer everywhere, everything sterilized before use and in all the braids are super clean and neat, well braided, had a lot of compliments on my braids and it’s been a month now, it still looks very good, would definitely be back, thank you so much miss Laura, clodine Braids

They were very professional. I was a little nervous because I have never been to an African braiding shop before, but the stylist made me feel at ease. This coming from someone who does not let just anyone do her hair. I like the fact that they were genuinely concerned about the care of my natural hair. I love my braids, and I am looking forward to my next style. They have definitely gained a lifetime client.

I love my braids. The ladies was very friendly. The only problem I had was this was my first time getting my hair braided. I brought my own hair and was charged 230 for large box braids. Other people i know and run into love them but said that was too much for bringing your own hair I have asked other local shops later and they charge 180 and that include hair. I’m hook on braids now but will not return because of price.

Awesome establishment! I called the weekend of 4/20/2019 (which was the weekend of Easter) to see if they accepted walk – ins. I knew it was a busy weekend and to try to get my hair done I felt was out of the question. So the lady told yes they did accept walk- in. So I drove an hour and 4 mins to the location and I got the salon at 12:15 and asked if I could get medium box braids. They lady called (who was not there at the moment) her co-worker immediately to let her know that I was there. About maybe 15 mins later her co-worker arrived and she immediately started to get things together to start my hair. She sat me down in the seat around 12:40-12:45 and discuss the length that I wanted as it relates to prices, pointing at my back letting me know the price of my desired length. She started my hair at 1:00 ( detangling my short natural hair) and finished braiding my hair around 6:15. I thought they took cards, because of the list of cards that they accepted was on the door (their system could have been down) so I had to go get some cash afterwards, but she did let me know that before she started. But overall I loved every second of my service ! I will be returning soon!

Went in for a touch up, I received great customer service and the price was reasonable. She didn’t braid my hair to tight she was very careful with my edges. I found me a good braid shop while Im stationed here. Thanks again.

All these positive reviews must be from family members because I did not get a pleasant experience. On top of the store not being open when I had an schedule appointment. Then they took someone else before me while I had to “wait” for another lady an hour after my appt time. Still I was patient, all threw the 10 million breaks, phone breaks, going to get food, finding a movie to watch I said nothing. Until I question how long the braids was. I was quoted $200 for midback box braids meaning past my bra strap. I noticed my braids was stopping past my shoulder. That’s not what I’m paying for! Then they want to change the price and say mid back is $250…. I think not. Once the price n length issue was settle- she made them longer- I was fine til she’s was purposely pulling my hair. I never got braids done and the braided is braiding a FRONT braid from the back basically pulling your head back. Instead of her TURNING the chair or moving to the front. Who the hell does that? Now I have an attitude and had to tell her off. Don’t play on my head. So if you want a braider that’s gonna have an attitude and pull ur hair. OH! And then try to damand payment before your hair is done after sitting there for 6 hours…. feel free to get tour hair done here. OR find a better salon in the Hampton roads area. There’s plenty!
