WARNING! I went to get highlights and was charged almost $400 and it looked like nothing was done to my hair. This was a few years ago, but I’m posting it now because I feel this business scammed me and shouldn’t have gotten away with it. When they finished the service it barely looked like I had anything done, then the girl said she had to redo it to get it light enough. Since she redid it they charged me twice without telling me they were going to. Even though when she was finished it still looked like I had nothing done; almost like she used the wrong developer and didn’t know what she was doing wrong. They charged me almost $400 when I got to the counter. I felt obligated to pay. It was unethical business practice at the least and I deserve a full refund for what I was pressured to pay. They took advantage of me because I was young polite and didn’t know what to do in the situation. Looking back on it I should’ve reported it to the police or I should’ve at least said out loud what was happening to me at the front desk so the other customers could hear it. Because I felt like I had no power to do anything about it. And I had to put that on my credit card because I wasn’t prepared to pay that much when I went into the salon. Because why should you ever spend $400 on a haircut and highlights in Valdosta? Especially when it didn’t look like anything. Honestly I hope someone else does report this business to the police and they go out of business.

I booked an apt with the salon through text months in advance. I showed up early for my apt, checked in with the front desk and waited 45 min for them to tell me they didn’t have me on their books. They were rude and made me feel stupid like it was my fault. They only apologized after I showed them texts to prove I had an appointment. They treated me so poorly and lost my business.

I always have an excellent experience at Sublime. Kacey has cut my hair the last two times I’ve visited, and she cuts it exactly how I ask. She’s always friendly, and has excellent suggestions on hair styles that will work for me. The staff at Sublime is ever ready to help, and a really pleasant group of people. Courtney at the front desk was quite helpful the last time I left the salon. If you’re looking for a salon that you leave looking great but also feeling great, then I recommend Sublime.
