I was searching for a stylist and I came across Kenya’s website. I was amazed and completely sold by the reviews of her current and past clients. I scheduled the appointment and drove almost 2 hours to get to her location. At my first appointment I addressed my concerns first My flaky scalp and secondly healthy hair. Kenya assured me that I didn’t have anything to worry about and she specializes in hair and scalp and she called herself a “Hair Doctor” She sold me different products for my scalp assuring me that the products would help with my flaky scalp. I was a little concerned and thought that I should see a Dermatologist but she reassured me that I didn’t have to do that. My first appointment went well and I really liked my hair therefore, I rescheduled with her for a second appointment. I was concerned at my second appointment because she was doing a relaxer.. I’m not a big fan of chemicals and it had only been 4 weeks. She told me I needed a relaxer every 4 weeks.. I didn’t think that was true however, I allowed her to do the relaxer. I also went on her website to leave a review and I was told that my review would need to be reviewed before posting. That’s completely misleading and therefore all the reviews are FALSE!! I went to Kenya two more times. On my third visit o was telling her that my hair was breaking off and that my scalp wasn’t getting better. I asked her was the chemical from the relaxer making my hair break off but of course she said no and said she didn’t notice any breakage. Weird but I went back again and my scalp hadn’t gotten any better with her products. She said that I wasn’t washing my hair!! I thought that was disrespectful and quite rude because I was washing my hair. I never went back to her again. I felt like she was a liar and complete manipulator. She’s all about making money by being dishonest with her clients. I went to the Dermatologist and was told that I have a skin condition and I need prescription medication for my scalp! I would not recommend anyone to her.
