I arrived at my appointment and was greeted upon entry and I was serviced on time. I can’t remember the young lady’s name at the front desk, but she is very sweet. The ambiance of the salon is gorgeous and feels very welcoming and inviting when you walk in.

I LOVE this salon. I don’t care what anyone says, only Lush can touch my hair. I go to Simone for a silk press and she does wonders! She has educated me on how to take care of my hair and taught me how to wrap my own hair, lol! Even though I only see one stylist, the whole staff is fun, incredibly sweet and caring. I can tell the staff really gets along, like a sisterhood and it really shows in the service. To have a black hair salon that not only does quality hair but maintains professional and exceptional service is a rarity but that’s Lush.

Symone never ever disappoints! My daughter and I have been coming here for almost a year and have never had an unpleasant experience. Both of us have natural hair that always looks freshly relaxed once our silk presses are complete! She recommends trims, steam treatments, and is very knowledgeable on all products that work for our hair type. She is extremely professional, punctual, and always very pleasant. Definitely recommend!!!

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the salon and the shampoo service. This was my first time here and the only person that was friendly was the receptionist. Nobody really spoke to me while I was serviced. Hailey did my silk press – it was cute but it wasn’t bone straight at all. I have really thick hair and My hair was still puffy leaving the salon. I paid $85 for the silk press and $30 for a trim. The trim was GREAT. I’m from Atlanta and was extremely disappointed in the “silk press” – it looks like I did my hair myself. For the price I expected more. $135 and I tipped the stylist.

Studio Lush hair salon is a whole vibe! From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a smile and a mimosa or coffee if you choose! Kirsana is always attentive to the small details and she makes sure your hair is looking fabulous when you leave out. I will say that all of the stylists are always professional and one of the greatest attributes of the salon is how clean it is! Studio Lush makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. The ambiance is chill relaxing with great music!

Danny was my stylist, and I’m so glad I found them on Instagram! I made the decision to purchase a silk press after years of having my hair natural. The staff was friendly and professional, the setting was cozy, and the store was immaculate. I will most definitely be back in a few weeks thanks to Danny, who was very knowledgeable and incredibly pleasant. I’m very happy I went since my hair now feels and looks healthy again.

I enjoyed my time at Studio Lush! I was styled by Danny and she did an amazing job. She educated me on my hair and made me extremely comfortable. The stylist were very nice as well as the receptionist, they also provided refreshments. This will be my top choice of hair salons in the Metro Detroit area. Definitely recommend! So a mixed review because the mimosas and charcuterie tray was an amazing addition. Never been to a salon that offers that and it was VERY nice. The down side was the service. Perhaps it was the stylist I had so don’t take this as a reflection on all of them but my child left looking crazy. I wanted to fix her hair right away. A wash and go took 3.5 hours because they leave clients sitting for long periods of time while they work on someone else. My time is too valuable and that does not need to be the salon experience. I have options.

The first time I booked at this salon, I waited in great anticipation for my appointment and took time off work to ensure I could make it. The day before I confirmed my appointment for 3pm on Friday. I received an appointment update later on that day, switching my appointment time from 3pm to early in the morning, which I could not do. No one called me or explained why. Just a new confirmation, which I declined. I was upset regarding the situation and did not accept. I did not make a big deal though.

I soooo wanted this to be a great salon visit, I came from far away to visit this salon. I followed Danny from a previous salon but unfortunately I had a negative experience. The stylist that shampooed complained about my hair to the stylist that rinsed and blow dried me. The second stylist commented, “oh her hair isn’t that bad.” Then they had a conversation about my hair texture while I’m sitting in the sink bowl. Unprofessional is an understatement, if you can’t handle all hair types why are you a stylist? I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome in this salon. There’s no telling the conversations that were being had about me. My hair came out great but there are so many salons out there, I won’t visit this one again. Even after the crown act … it be your own people to talk down on you. Sad.
