I went to Mindy recently for a cut and highlights after having been holed up for months during the pandemic (and having lost my previous hairdresser of 18 years due to a move). It was not cheap, but I have a lot of hair, and she did a fantastic job! I’ve had several compliments on my hair lately, which I know can only be attributed to the beautiful job she did. If you’re looking to support a local business and want a fabulous haircut and/or highlights, I would recommend Mindy for sure.

This place is great! My stylist is Krissy and she’s been doing my hair for 10+ years. They know what they are doing in there! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I have had a ton of different hair colors and she has always done what I wanted but all the same making sure my hair is 100% healthy in the process. If you want a good cut/color/style whatever come to these fabulous ladies!! You won’t regret it!!!!

Studio Em gained a remarkable stylist when they hired Krissy Kosmoski. I’ve been a client of hers for over 10 years. Her professionalism and commitment to her clients is like no other stylist I’ve been exposed too. She listens to my style and color requests and together we achieve the best results. Always impressed. I really enjoyed my first visit to Studio Em this month. The location is great for me as I live in Gurnee. The salon layout is functional and so cozy! Just an overall GREAT experience! I highly recommend Krissy and Studio Em.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN! While a bit more expensive than chain hair salons the cut grows out much nicer and one can go longer between cuts. Precision at it’s best. I would highly recommend Mindy.
