Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueDawn is the best. She always go out of her way to make sure I love my hair and always does exactly what I want. She is amazing with color and gets you exactly where you want to be at no time at all. Gone are the days of 5-6 appointments to get the perfect blonde. I would recommend Dawn to anyone and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Additionally she is always so professional and sweet. Dawn is the best. She always go out of her way to make sure I love my hair and always does exactly what I want. She is amazing with color and gets you exactly where you want to be at no time at all. Gone are the days of 5-6 appointments to get the perfect blonde. I would recommend Dawn to anyone and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Additionally she is always so professional and sweet. I came in to her place a year ago for help with my over processed hair, after a few Keratin treatments my hair started looking and feeling healthy again. Dawn Chappell, the owner of DC Studio in Downtown Mooresville is absolutely AMAZING! I came in to her place a year ago for help with my over processed hair, after a few Keratin treatments my hair started looking and feeling healthy again. My hair is longer , softer and more beautiful than it has ever been , I would recommend this salon to everyone and especially Dawn. ❤️ If you can get in with her , she stays booked 😉

Critical: ProfessionalismMy stylist, Dawn took over 4 hours to highlight and barely trim my hair. She worked on multiple clients at the same time which made me feel neglected. I showed her a picture of the color of highlights that I wanted when I arrived. Upon leaving, I wasn’t thrilled with the color. However I thought maybe it was just the shop lighting. I gave it a day to try and like the highlights. I reached out to the stylist in a very kind message asking if we could add a few lighter strands because it wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for. She replied that she got my hair as blonde as she could and that she was going to block me. I was absolutely shocked at her unprofessional response. I wasn’t going to ask for another try at the color. Instead, I was just going to cross her off the list and never go back. I thought she would like the chance to provide me with a service that I was satisfied with. I guess I was wrongAs a rebuttal to Dawn, the “owners” comments below:I was NOT 30 minutes late to my appointment. I was 10 minutes late because I’m new to the area and got lost. I called to get directions and apologize. When I got there she said “oh it worked out fine because my appointment before you was late and ran past her time.” Also, I most certainly did not “bash” my previous hairstylist! I said that she talked too much during the appointment and I like to relax and read while I’m at a salon. The owner said “oh she’s probably on something!” This owner is not stable. Im appalled by her comments/lies and would certainly not recommend anyone going to her. She bragged about how good everyone thinks she is and I would beg to differ. What stylist/owner engages in hurtful and slanderous banter in a public forum? Very unprofessional!I have certainly moved forward. I just hope that next time a client has an issue with their hair and kindly asks for additional assistance that Dawn will be professional and accommodating. This is a customer service industry.
