Each guest is given a customized haircut or color based on their hair needs, goals and maintenance. Services offered, not limited to haircuts, colors, dimensional foiling, foil-ayage, and grey blending for men and woman. Our private one chair studio, allows us the space to create a relaxing environment and the option of a silent appointment

Definitely found my go-to place — a hidden new gem in Hampton, the owner/stylist Amber was amazing. Went in not really knowing what I wanted and came out with a fresh and modern cut along with subtle face-framing highlights — finally felt like myself again after avoiding the salon during the pandemic! Warm and charming little studio with welcoming, personalized services. Add in some great tunes playing, a multitude of beverage options, fun conversation– and you’ll become a regular too. Definitely a must-try if you’re looking to upgrade your hairstyle, have a great experience – all the while at an incredible value!

I’ve been twice now to see Amber for a wash and blow out! She is so thorough and ensures you’re getting exactly what you want. With each blowout I’ve received my curls have held for days, along with a silky shine and finish. Her studio is clean, cute, and tastefully decorated. This was my first appointment with Amber Moulton, the owner and single operator of Studio A, Custom Cuts and Colors and she is a thoughtful artist/doctor! By that I mean she put careful attention to the quirks of how my hair grows, she asked detailed questions about the end result I wanted to see, and pointed out differences in photos of styles I brought with me before she ever picked up her tools. The result is a precision cut that’s classic but stylish and suites my face to a T. Plus the back of my head is perfection using my quirky patterns to their very best advantage. She simply does a brilliant job. I can’t believe that she’s right here on the Seacoast! My search for a beautician is over. I highly recommend Amber.

I am thrilled to have discovered Studio A! When my previous colorist moved out-of-state, I became something of a hair color “gypsy”. I tried many salons and colorists, but the ultimate connection remained elusive– until I found Amber and Studio A. During my first visit, Amber listened attentively to my color “wish list” (covering my gray, blending color outgrowth and boosting highlights). She took the time to explain her recommendations (and, to inform my own reasonable expectations, given how much was going on with my hair at the time!). Then she performed her magic and the outcome was great. In addition to being a consummate professional — in a comfortable and appealing way — she also seems a person of both personal and professional integrity. She’s honest in her assessments, sensitive to client comfort and mindful of fair and reasonable pricing. When I left her studio, I came away, not just happy and “refreshed” with my new color, but touched by who Amber appears to be as a person. She exudes a sense of kindness and goodwill beyond that of her business. She’s not just amazing AT her craft; she does what she loves, she loves what she does and, through her craft, one service at a time, she helps to make the world a better place.

I went here on recommendation from a near by salon that was totally booked. After reading Studio A’s reviews, I decided to go forward and make an appt. Amerb was not only super friendly but also very knowledgeable and gave me lots of tips for my hair type/style. I have gotten a lot of foils in my life, and this was one of the best. I showed her a few pics of the blonde I was going for (not too far off my color already) and she exceeded my expectations! Not only that, the cut was ideal, and made my hair super healthy and soft, and everything was at an EXCELLENT price. Definitely will be returning when I’m back in the Hampton thank you Amber
