Get an estimate up front! I was charged $200 for a 1″ trim and some simple highlights. The cut was 50. The highlights, which Carrie said she would add because the top needed to be blended in, were certainly not worth $150. This was not balayage. This was not high lights and lowlights. I believe she overcharged deliberately because I got lost on my first appt and was 15 minutes late, necessitating a reschedule. I would have respected her if she had said she had to charge me for the late showing. But no. She cut my hair, threw in “a few” foil wraps to “blend in the top” (her words) and less than 90 minutes later, I was charged $200. Since I planned to tip well I handed her $40 before I knew what the bill was. So she received $240 for less than 2 hours work. She also permanently lost a client. Never had a stylist pull something like that before.

I tried calling Studio 210 more than 15 times throughout the day today. I called the restaurant next door to see if their neighbors were open and the lady who answered said yes the owner is sitting outside on her phone. I went into the shop and the lady there was like “yeeeeah we don’t pick up the phone and just let it ring. It’s not my job, we’re independent.” I asked why? I wanted to make an appointment. And she said “you should have called directly to our cell numbers.” ??????? What ??????

I moved to St. John’s county a year ago. After seeing 4 other stylists, whose styles/color were disappointing, I found Nicole Kaleel and she is AMAZING! Finally, I was able to have the edge in color and cut that I had been desiring. She is surprisingly fast, but my style turns out impeccable every time. I see her every 3 months now, and am just as happy as the last visit. I get complimented on my style/color constantly. She also has great recommendations for lash artists and nail techs.

Very comfortable and clean salon. Michelle is a great stylist – she has a true gift for cutting hair. Never pushes products on you and makes suggestions of other styling aids that you can pick up outside the salon, though I must say their Moroccan oil products are not overly expensive and work very well.
