My stylist was 45 minutes late. That should have been a sign for me to leave. They all schedule clients on like 100 different apps and then never answer the phone. The most unprofessional haircut experience I have ever had. She hacked up my hair so badly. I asked for layers and my head looks like I got stuck in a lawn mower. Either I cut it all off or let it grow in hideous lengths for a couple years. Never again.

To this day, that was my favorite photo shoot ever. They truly embraced who I was in the shoot. I felt comfortable and relaxed!! The make up was super professional. Amiya is the best make-up artist in the business. My hair was superb too. The stylists know just what to do with your hair to make YOU pop!! I will never forget how I felt the day before the photo shoot and how my life changed afterwards. I had just lost about 30 pounds prior to the photo shoot. I was battling depression and anxiety. We’ll, I searched for a black beauty salon near me. Made an appointment but it was incorrect on the website. It said 50 dollars but yet they were late and it wasn’t even the beautician I scheduled for. Then the lady tries to charge me 165, when our appointment was at 5 and my daughter didn’t get started until 6:15 and was done at 9:30. Very unprofessional and found out that I still paid 85 dollars but my daughter didn’t even get her hair styled. Will never go back. Over rated t he lady who runs this business isn’t even licensed.

My appointment was at 6am then was rescheduled for 7am. I arrived at 645am then I received ANOTHER reschedule notice for 8am, keep in mind I took a UBER. Latrenda messaged me informing me of the long night she had the night before, which I completely understood but I explained to her that I was already there. I received no reply. When she finally arrived (10mins past 8am) I requested for a discount due to the inconvenience of me having to sit outside for over an hour but she declined and proceeded to inform me of the amount the other stylists charge for a re-twist compared to her price, which was totally irrelevant. Then she added that “Im welcome to search around for another stylist”. Never again ! #rudeandunprofessional

Really good place! Especially if you have locs the only inconvenience for me would be all of the rescheduling. I would book my appointment online for specific times and dates days sometimes weeks in advanced but my appointment wouldn’t be confirmed or just straight up moved to a different time slot I wasn’t available for. I typically made adjustments when the stylist would text me that she couldn’t see me for the time or day that was available online. This would have me looking for babysitters at the last minute or leaving and going places early but after having to cancel two events two different times because I couldn’t get my hair done I finally just sat down and learned how to do my own retwist which works for me so there is no love lost. Maybe the stylist can block off her schedule online for the times she’s unavailable but that’s just a suggestion. I would still recommend this place if you have an open schedule to be able to accommodate the stylist schedule. I hope it prospers and God bless’em!
