I started using the head stylist services approximately 10 years at this point in time I suffered severe hair & scalp damage due to self installation of weaves. The thing that caused me to continue to patronize with this stylist was her encouragement of healthy hair, she wasn’t the type that would just slap a weave in without a consultation of what was or was not recommended for your individual circumstances. She is also a firm advocate of natural hair…It’s because of her that I’ve steered clear of relaxers. Since becoming a faithful customer my hair has grown drastically and I have yet to receive a hairstyle I utterly didn’t love or receive a plethora of compliments on!!! I wholeheartedly feel she is one of the best hair stylist in the entire northeastern region DE/PA/NJ/NYC area and would definitely deem her celebrity stylist capable. Her salon is welcoming with a glamorous ambiance not to mention all the elite and prominent, professionals I met and became well acquainted with!! I would definitely rate this establishment 5 stars!! You would not regret seeking their services.

Stopped going here over 8-9 months ago. I started going here and immediately my hair started to fall out. I explained that because I have sensitive skin/scalp the product she was using may be a little harsh because my scalp got really itchy after visiting her salon for the first time. She blamed me and said maybe I had a disease that cause my scalp to itch. I went to the dermatologist who determined no, I did not have a disease that would cause my scalp to itch. She used way too much heat (dryer, blow dryer, AND flat iron). I explained I wanted to transition to natural and she insisted that my hair be permed. She even recommended using coconut oil and Jamaican black castor oil which made my scalp have massive build up. Now I’m seeing a new hair dresser, transitioned to natural, have not had a perm since I went to this hairdresser, and my hair has grown 10x longer than it was going to this place. I do not recommend this place.

Haja! You were worth the drive! I’m loving my sew in! I’m glad I finally found a stylist that’s professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and gentle with my hair. She has her work posted on YouTube and Instagram @hairbyhaj, so I knew what to expect ahead of time. Also, she took me on time for my appt, which is great as well. I look forward to sitting in her chair again.

Hair came out beautiful but I got charged double the price that was listed on the website after service was done! This was very upsetting, if wash and trim is not included in service price, it should be clearly stated and indicated on the appointment booking site. It was outside of my budget and i was not aware until it was too late

Shamila is awesome!!! She was able to work her magic on my natural hair which also happens to be natrurally grey using rod sets!! I receive non stop complements where ever I go. I’m an extremly satisfied customer.

Shamila offers great service at reasonable prices. I really had a peaceful time in her salon. She only takes appointments, so there will never be a crowd. Going back in a few weeks for more personalised service.
