I’ve had chronic pain and migraines for over 20 years. And I’ve thrown away a lot of money on different massage therapies – some bad, some that feel good while it’s happening but have no noticeable impact on my pain even later the same day. I’ve really tried it all. Let me tell you — Stress Waived is unlike any other massage therapy I’ve ever had before.

Deb is a great massage therapist. I see her once a week. I am 62 and tend to do whatever I want which sometimes leaves me with overworked area of my body. I get to my massage and Deb and I talk about what I did for activities and what hurts. She is then able to target my massage to what I need that week. It works great as it allows me to continue activities knowing that she will work out the kinks. Lol

Positive: CommunicationThis is not your typical quiet massage experience. This is a learning experience in how to care for yourself and learn to begin ridding yourself of pain. Deb is full of energy and talks through the entire exam. She seems very knowledgeable and explains everything she is doing and why. She was also very thorough in explaining to me what my role is in managing my pain. This was my first visit but I am definitely going back. This is not your typical quiet massage experience. I’m a sponsored, competitive marathon runner. I was dealing with a foot injury that had me on the couch for 10+ weeks! I had been doing PT appointments twice a week for weeks, I went through two pairs of custom orthotics, and even saw multiple doctors/specialists about the tendon in my left foot. Nothing was getting me back to running. I then saw Deb, and a few days after our appointment, I was running again. Every visit, some other part of my foot, ankle, and/or calf is fixed, and I’m able to run more and more! 100%, I would not be where I’m at with this recovery without Deb! I highly recommend Stress Waived.

I have experienced vertigo and continual shoulder and neck pain for quite some time, and it had serious negative effects on work and every aspect of my life. After a particularly difficult winter and years of little help from medical professionals, I began seeing Deb. After my first visit I had noticeable results! With her ability to pinpoint the trouble areas of my neck and shoulders, and sticking to the stretching and other “homework” tools she gave me, I feel like a new person. Many of the symptoms I had are barely noticeable and have given me months of trouble free work as well as getting back to many things I used to enjoy in life.

I am very pleased to have found Deb as my massage therapist. Through the years working in the construction industry I suffered multiple injuries to my neck, back, and shoulders, resulting in years of chronic pain issues. Deb is very skilled at identifying and releasing the source of muscle pain and tension. Her therapies have been central in my journey to regain strength and flexibility to those problem areas. I highly recommend Stress Waived Massage Therapy!

I have been receiving massages from Deborah for over four years now and it has been a great experience. Deborah has been able to tackle all of my muscular issues using deep tissue and many other techniques. I am also a massage therapist, so sometimes it is hard to find someone that I feel works up to my standards, but I found this with Deborah. Deborah makes you feel comfortable and relaxed even when she is working on tissue that can be painful.

Deborah is awesome! I have been going every week for a few weeks now for right neck and back pain. I can certainly notice a difference, the muscles in my neck are not as tight as they once were! When Deborah explains things they actually make sense to me! Definitely looking forward to more movement with future visits!!

Deb has been a lifesaver ! For many years I struggled with shoulder pain. I finally got to the point I could not move my shoulder. I was sent for an MRI and was told of the damage in my shoulder, and that I needed surgery. My chiropractor recommended before I chose surgery to go see my massage therapist and see if she could help. Within a week she had me to better than I had been in years. I could sleep on that side again I I stopped waking up in the night in excruciating pain I could fully rotate my shoulder again. I never needed surgery after all. I now see her regularly and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Critical: CommunicationIf you care about covid exposure be sure to negotiates precautions in advance. I made clear when booking mask and distancing was important. I was disturbed when Deb suggested at our initial meeting we could remove masks because we were socially distanced. I said no as we were no more than 5 feet apart in a small poorly ventilated room. The massage, focused on my neck, was great but I was horrified when I rolled over and saw her nose was out over the top of the mask and realized she had been hovering right over me for 30 minutes in that state. If you care about covid exposure be sure to negotiates precautions in advance.
