I’ve been going so many years trust me when I tell you if I find another place to do my hair I’m out. They are not friendly people… If you can’t come to your appointment and want to change it good luck with that.. they don’t answer their phones… My beautician always late and no explanation when she comes. Good luck if you guys wants to go there.. as for me I’m looking for some other to do my hair… With someone who appreciates my business

I have been to the salon about three times. A rule they have is if it has been several months since the last visit your hair could have changed and a consult needs to take place. The consult is quick and they don’t even touch your hair they just take a look to confirm its natural. As a long time natural but not consistent client here that was a bit of an issue for me but I needed the service so i had to deal.

As I am reading these reviews, I concur completely. I went to them a couple of years ago and the lady in the first chair closer to the door on the right with twins, was very rude. She was constantly late for my appointments, but the very first time I was behind schedule she canceled my appointment without hesitation. The problem is: this place is great for natural hair and locs, but the standard of professionalism needs to be work adjusted.

Never settle ugh…. Nasty on the phone and worse when you arrive. We tried this place because my salon was booked.I waited until the last min. Let’s just say this wasn’t the place to go. I will travel to Plainfield my stylist doesn’t mess up appointments professional online booking . They tell you a time and you get there and its have a seat. I’m not used to this. Not organized at all. I used to getting in and out and not everyone having the same appointment. Makes you appreciate your stylist. the work far from quality.

I was very disappointed in this place of business. The first time I loved the outcome of my daugther’s hair. After the first time my mother tried for a month to get my child’s hair done again. Unfortunately, they are not accommodating for working individuals or children who attend school. After a month, my mother made an appointment for a Friday due to my daughter having a half of day. I take my daughter’s hair out, zoom from Newark to Maplewood by 1, since I was told no later than 115pm. The woman tells me her appointment was yesterday at 1pm. How could that be when my child is in school. She insist yesterday and would not take my daughter, due to the miscommunication. No come back in a hour or can you wait. If I supposedly had this appointment, no phone call was made to follow up when I “was no show.” She said we could reschedule but I work. I said, no, I will find another place. She turned away and said okay, rudely. I was disgusted by this. All my years dealing with hair salons, I have never met rude, unprofessional hairstylists. It’s okay another salon’s gain of a faithful customer. Extra money in my pocket.
