I am so glad I started my microloc journey with Brittany. She not only did an exceptional job with my installation, she also educated me and made me feel comfortable. I was surprised when she got my hair done in 10 hours. Her salon is welcoming and decorated nicely. I booked her because of her talent, speed, and her grid skills are top notch. Ok. So listen up! Making this kind of decision is big and not one that should be taken lightly! I was having some hair issues and I felt that getting locs was best for me but I was still concerned. What if it was too spacey? What if my hair has gotten to thin? What if it breaks? Brittany put all my worries to rest. She is very knowledgeable. This woman has taken the time to learn her craft and it shows in her work . I’m glad I went with my gut and chose her! If you want an individual who knows her stuff and will make sure you are educated, this is your one! My experience was amazing and I love my Hair! Sister-locked and loving it!

I don’t do Reviews but I wanted to leave this for anyone like myself who needed to search for a great instructor. I took this microlocs class and it was truly the most insightful class that I’ve ever taken. Brittany is very thorough and very detailed. She also has a lot of patience and very proficient in sharing all the resources and also the knowledge that you need for success. She will drill the correct way into your head to make sure that you are comfortable. Her desire to see you win is actually what I admired the most. Please don’t sleep on this class cause I’m actually going to see what else I could learn from her.

So after much thought, consideration, praying and late night YouTube searching, I finally decided to go for a Microlock consultation. One reason I chose Brittany, owner of Strands of Beauty, is because her website is informative, easy to navigate and includes loads of professional photos and videos of her fabulous work. The other is because of her knowledge and professionalism. During the consultation, she made me feel at ease and I trusted her completely with my tender head and fine hair. I was so excited when I left her quaint shop. And my install, which was two weeks later, did not come quick enough. When the long awaited day arrived, I went equipped with my fruit snacks, water and my phone charger, for what I thought would be a 12 or more hour day. But oh my goodness! The “painless”install (not including the invigorating wash) took only 6 ½ hours. That’s right! I was fully locked in no time and I’m fully loving the results! Thank you so much Brittany! I am so grateful for your care, expertise and time. I can’t imagine going on this lock journey with anyone but you.
