Best salon I’ve been to. Found Sandra-lee from her instagram and she’s so talented. I’ve been to many salons and I never get what i want. It’s always the same basic cut. I drove 45 minutes to Strand Salon because I was so impressed with their versatility. They offered me beverages. The spa room where they wash your hair is filled with the scent of eucalyptus and they play spa music. AND i got an amazing scalp massage. I LOOOOOVE my new haircut. It’s perfect. I’ve never been so happy. Everything from their interior design to the stylish af workers was amazing. You can tell everyone there cares and really tries to give their clients the best experience.

I was absolutely blown away by Strand Salon from the 1st time I went for a free consultation with Paul. I showed and told him my idea and we immediately hit it off. Today I got my haircut done by him and he definitely went beyond my expectations and turned the dial all the way to 11. All of his staff is incredibly personable and knowledgeable and a treat to interact with. The experience of going there and seeing fellow professional cosmetologists executing the craft was a work of art. As a licensed cosmetologist myself, I do don’t give compliments out like candy. They are definitely worth the price and trip to get the job done. I cannot speak more highly of a salon and it’s artists more. See my cut and the skills show. Paul is the man for haircuts from mild to Rockstar wild, he has the passion and the skills.

If you need a new salon, generally, or are getting married and are looking for a hair/makeup team, look no further. Strand Salon is truly unparalleled in all that they do. I have been traveling from NYC to Strand for four years for regular hair appointments since I moved from Connecticut, and wouldn’t have it any other way. So, when I got engaged and was planning my large,10-bridesmaid wedding in NYC, there was only one choice for all of our hair and makeup needs: Strand. Luckily, Strand’s owners Jen and Paul were willing to travel with several members of their team to my wedding venue and they flawlessly handled all things hair and beauty. As the bride, I had already expected that Strand would be fabulous based on my past experiences, but I was nevertheless blown away yet again by their professionalism, skill, and efficiency. My hair stayed put all day/night, as did my bridesmaids’, and my makeup was so tastefully done and lasted without fail (thanks MaryKate!) All in all, if you’re looking for the most incredible beauty squad for your regular go-to, or a special event, I cannot recommend Strand Salon highly enough.

This was my first visit at Strand Salon. I have heard about it over the years due to living in town but never had the opportunity to check it out. All I have to say is WOW. This place is AMAZING!!!! From being greeted with a mimosa to start off my Saturday morning, to the absolutely stunning ambiance the decor and atmosphere gives off, all the way to the incredibly passionate and educated staff I can’t believe that this hidden gem was right here in my home town!! Albi did the honor of cutting my extremely long hair into a medium length masterpiece while Kate helped correct my hair with a stunning lightening foil! Kate not only spent the time to educate me on what process she was doing to my hair but to inform me about the products that would maintain and give me the volume and look that I wanted to attain. To feel even more welcomed, one of the owners, Paul came over to greet me and welcome me making me feel included and important. The best part about the whole process may have been the Wash Room where you zen out and get shampooed with an out of body worthy head massage.

I go to Paul & Jen for cut and color. My husband goes to Paul for his cut also. We always get exactly what we envisioned at a reasonable price. The shampoo massage is heaven and the shop is super cute.

This is the BEST salon in the greater Hartford area. I’ve been going to Strand for almost about 3 years. I’ve seen Lindsay and Sandy as well as Liz, all for highlights, gloss and haircuts. They’ve never disappointed. The salon itself is gorgeous. They have an amazing small shop that offers hair products & accessories. The wash bar is so soothing and relaxing. They also offer conditioning treatments, which I’ve had and my hair feels so smooth and silky. Lastly, I’ve also received keratin treatments at Strand. The best ever. My thick hair comes out smooth and frizz free. Be sure to check out Strand Salon.
