I dread dealing with my hair and have been this way for years. I tried many different styles and solutions from straightening, braiding, and weaving to eventually just hiding my hair under beanies, hats and caps. The neglect has resulted in my hair becoming unhealthy (dull, dry, no new growth, lacking nutrients) and the excessive use of shea butter, coconut, Moroccan… you name it oils and products did nothing.I finally went through a process that has my hair looking and feeling like it hasn’t felt in years. Sherry is very passionate about what she does and it shows. I appreciated her taking the time to teach and educate me on the benefits of a gentle touch and having patience with my hair. I am a new client as of December 2021. I am so happy I found Sherry during a Google search for natural hairstylist. I dread dealing with my hair and have been this way for years. I tried many different styles and solutions from straightening, braiding, and weaving to eventually just hiding my hair under beanies, hats and caps. Absolutely the best curly hair salon! Sherry is fabulously kind person and did an AMAZING job beautifying my locks! I started my curly hair journey several years ago in SF – I have tight coily hair. The stylists in sac were almost non existent or just not a good fit about 6 years ago. Over the years I became very loyal to two different stylists which suited me well, but each time a stylist left the business for a new trade (or like my last was on extended leave, never to return) I panicked!!

Sherry is Great with Curly Hair…but my own hair is just a little wavy. Although I don’t like to spend a lot of time on my hair – I do want it to look nice. Sherry gives me suggestions and cuts that are easy for me to maintain and teaches me how to better care for my hair. I learned about the importance of clarifying and how to enhance the little wave I do have when I want to do that. I look forward to my appointments with Sherry. In the process I have leaned so much but it wasn’t until I met Sherry that I truly gained the knowledge necessary to understand my hair and help it thrive. My hair was maltreated and dehydrated.
