I’d like to start this review by saying that my expectations were low for my appointment at Stilo Cuts. I’m a musician on a national tour, in a different city each week, and have had very poor experiences with various barbers on the road. Mikey here at Stilo cuts absolutely exceeded all expectations. The haircut was painless. I have very sensitive skin and usually the clippers leave razor burn the next day… I barely felt these. The shop is clean, quiet, and Mikey is very personable. I was worried if he would be able to cut black hair, but he handled the skin fade with precision and ease. Best cut I’ve had in a long time. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for. 10/10 would recommend.

You’re not gonna find a better Barber shop in the Twin Cities. The shop is clean and open with a relaxed atmosphere, and it’s obvious the barbers all get along which gives off a family-like vibe. I’ve been getting my haircut from Mikey for about 3yrs. By far the best barber I have encountered in the Minneapolis area. I don’t have allot of hair, so what I have, want it to work with my look & lifestyle. Mikey got that combination instantly with little instruction. I looked long & hard for a barber like Mikey and feel lucky to have found him. The Shop is fun and relaxed and often filled with interesting conversation from a range of diverse players. I tend not to care greatly about how much my hair looks, nor can I afford to get my hair cut at a proper barber shop any time it starts to get out of control. (I’ll either buzz my own hair or go to somewhere like Great/Sports Clips.) But when I do have an event or special gathering to attend, I make sure I contact Kaleb (Dondo) for a clean-cut. He’s cut my hair several times over the past few years; and each time I’ve left thinking “wow, this is even better than the last time I was here!” And how much more professional, personal, and better it is than other places.
