All I can say is wow. Steven is absolutely incredible. He has done both my husband’s and my hair. He gave us both incredible cuts. He styled my husband masterfully and taught him all about how to manage his long hair. Then, I went in with a mess of multi-colored hair and Steven took his time and gave me a look that so perfectly suits me. As a lady, I would 100% recommend him. He is the best person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and trusting with my hair! 10/10

Barber shop? I’m not sure what you’d call it.Then you meet the man, Steven Michael, who is this kinetic and kindred spirit that’s so easy to talk to it’s as if he was already a close friend you haven’t seen in a while and you’re catching up with one another. His business is fairly new (I live one street down and had no idea it even existed!) at the moment, with little to no advertising yet, so I was able to get in a last minute haircut at 6pm on Saturday Evening, which is usually near impossible. I have a feeling that won’t last though. Even though the business is new, Steven is a seasoned veteran, with some 37 years in the business (I think, I hope I got that right? Sorry if not!). And it shows.This isn’t your run of the mill buzz n shampoo done in 15 minutes haircut place btw, even if you’re like me – a 40 yr old guy with a simple look in the midst of some MPB. Steven is far from just a hair stylist, the dude is a frickin’ Artisan. You’d think he was Michelangelo working on the Statue of David with the attention to detail he gives to your hair. He was able to make me look like a somewhat normal guy – with hair! It was hands down the best haircut I’ve had in like 20 years.Snapped a couple of pics of his place, as well as a before and after of me. The neckbrace was because I was having surgery the next day, so one is of me trying it on pre haircut, then actually wearing it post haircut (and surgery).Oh, and he does waaaaaay more than just Men’s haircuts. First off, I love you Steven Michael! You’re amazing and will be the only person I ever let touch my hair again! So over the last year and a half my hair has endured a lot of mistreatment; from being a grown out red to trying to go blonde has been a very bad experience. I went to Gene Juarez like I had been for years to have them try something new and do a full foil. The girl I got made it all solid strawberry blonde when I wanted an ash blonde with dimension/ depth. Then I got it corrected and still wasn’t exactly what I wanted and felt fried, before anyone states it’ll take a few times before getting exactly what I want… I know this. So I waited for a bit of grow out (about 5 weeks) and tried a different salon they did an okay job but it wasn’t great and by then my hair felt like hay. So I went months almost a year without doing anything and had a major amount of grow out and was finally able to get it done again 2 days ago, well the girl I went to messed it up. She only touched my grow out never the bottom and by the time she was done, I had ash on top and a golden blonde on the bottom with a harsh line around my head you could clearly see. I went home and cried, then I remembered Steven! My husband had gotten the best haircut from him in his entire life. Needless to say I was desperate and heard amazing things about him from my husband. I got there and we went so in depth about history and details to my head shape, face shape, skin tone/ undertones, and eye color, I finally felt heard. He managed to pick the right color for me and fix almost two years of screw ups on color and cuts from other people and still make my hair feel and look healthy. I was amazed and in such shock when we got finished yesterday. I now love my hair after two years of hating it and feel a lot better about myself again. Steven Michael is a godsend! He’s amazing at what he does and he’s professional, friendly, efficient, generous, and focuses on quality and skill set rather than time and money. He’s got an amazing personality and makes you feel comfortable the entire time. Will definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend him. Thank you so much for all you did for me Steven!
