Awesome experience! I got my hair braided by Stella today & it is very nice! The salon is clean and the atmosphere is friendly! Stella is a nice, fun person and we hit it off as soon as we met. We had good conversation while she braided my hair, and she is fast!! I got short jumbo box braids, and it only took about an hour! I have found my permanent hair stylist/salon! My family and I love my hair–and my look!!

I was last minute trying to book an appointment. Stella was super nice and was able to do my hair the next day. I love that the shop has and uses their social media page. I was able to reach out on Instagram with a picture of the style and she responded right away. This was my first visit to the shop, the atmosphere was welcoming, it smelled wonderful and it was very clean. The last experience I had at a braiding shop the woman braided my hair way too tight and my scalp was bleeding when I left. Not the case here, Stella did not braid my hair tight and I did not have a headache when I left. Once she finished my hair I was able to go and enjoy my day. I will be returning for all my future braid styles. Thank you Stella ❤️

Went here to start my Locs w/ Comb Coils. Ended up taking them out a couple days later due to the messy look of the style. (Roots were supper puffy and parts were not clean and were all over the place). Got charged $130 because of my “long natural hair” (My hair is a about collar bone length, maybe just a little bit longer). Didn’t receive much info on how to care for the locs (except not to wash bc they could unravel) and no info on what products to avoid or use.

So first off I want to say that my review will be long but a great reason as to why I gave it the amount of stars I did. I have been to Stella’s twice and the first time was 10 stars if I could give it. Stella is an AMAZING owner and is that girl with what she does. Although she didn’t work on my whole head per se her hair braiding technique is IMPECCABLE!!!! The first time I went not only was my hair done the way I wanted it to be but then some by Fatima who if her or Stella is not available I will wait till one of them are. That leads me to the 3 stars. So I just recently set up my appointment which was easy, to get Singelese twist like I did the first time. I arrived on time but unfortunately had to wait for the person that was going to do my hair which was no problem at all things happen. So Stella being the wonderful owner she is, she started my hair and after showing her a pic of what I had the last time to not keep me waiting and I was so grateful for that. We laughed, joked, doing what women do in a salon which made me feel comfortable like the last time. This is where the 3 stars were given. Once the lady that came to do my hair was present I switched chairs which was fine and started to talk to the lady that was now going to be doing my hair who didn’t talk much… She asked Stella was the size of the twist okay and Stella approved. She pretty much followed Stella’s pattern which was perfect. But I noticed compared to Stella and Fatima she was more rough with my hair which resulted in a lot of “I’m sorry.” When Fatima and Stella did my hair they put “jam” on my roots it holds the hair better the other lady although used it did not do so on my roots so I had to ask for that especially since she was braiding kind of tight. After some time passed I noticed that she was discussing how she had to be somewhere which in turn gave her the 3 stars. Why? One the twist usually have knots at the bottom to keep them from unraveling…. however I didn’t realize until I got home that a lot of them in the front didn’t have knots on them so I did it myself but the back was fine so I appreciated that. Second I heard her trim the the excess hair to make the twist look clean and neat however she did it for a split second so I thought I didn’t have that many so I didn’t ask if she got them all. Got in better light when I left… the result??? It was little hairs sticking out everywhere so when I got home I trimmed it myself!!! Also looking at my ends it was knotted and scragglies and the ends of the hair so I cut them to make it look neat…. Last but not least I was curious as to why I didn’t have the same reaction from the first time about my hair… it was due to the front because she was rushing which resulted in waayyy bigger twists then the ones she and Stella started doing which looks crazy on my head. I say that to say should you go to Stella’s??? ABSOLUTELY! I would go again in a heart beat however if it’s not her or Fatima doing my hair I won’t go unfortunately until they are available to do my whole head. I also feel like if any of the workers has something planned for the day please advise the owner this that way her reputation is not being jeopardized and clients are not leaving dissatisfied satisfied. I don’t think I will keep my twist in as long as I did before because I’m truly not a fan of them…. Hopefully my next time will be like the first.
