Great experience. The guy who runs the business is not only friendly, but calming and knowledgable. The tank is in a private room with a shower next to it, ensuring total privacy. Options like lights and music make the experience totally customizable too. If you think you might want to try this experience, do it here.

Highly recommend, the guy with the long beard is very polite and knowledgeable. Probably the most relaxing experience I’ve ever had. My first time I went in for 90 minutes, felt like 45 minutes because you lose conception of time once you are fully relaxed and in a meditative state. So I would recommend 90 minute sessions for the extra $ it’s well worth it! The lounge compliments the session, sustaining the theme of relaxation. I have back problems including herniated discs and right after my session I felt no pain, it was an amazing feeling, I was able to crack my spine just as well as they do at my chiropractor. I’m definitely going to go again!

What an amazing facility and phenomenal prices! Jim and his mother are both very kind and helpful which makes the experience all the better. The entire tank center is very soothing and the amenities provided are quite pleasant. Comparing our center with centers in other areas including busier cities, we are very lucky to have a place like Staying Afloat here in Galloway in terms of both cost and quality. For those who are hesitant to try something like this for the first time, I couldn’t think of a better place to try it. Then, to those who have floated before, you’ll definitely love this Staying Afloat. I’ve been a customer for nearly a year and the experience is consistently perfect.

Very relaxing, meditative experience. Was my first time floating and it was phenomenal. The facility is super clean and well put together. The owner Jim is very nice, informative and made you feel comfortable during your entire session. Would highly recommend coming to this center to float for anyone, especially those battling pain conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, fibermyalgia..even calming for anxiety and depression. Feeling uplifted and renewed.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityYesterday was my first time ever experiencing a float tank. Wow! First, the woman who greeted us when we arrived. So lovely. So calm. She explained everything to us – everything we needed to do, everything we might experience, everything that goes into a float tank (the temperature of the water, the amount of epsom salts that make it a “float” tank, the importance of showering before and after, why you need to wear the ear buds, etc).It was so clean – the tank, the tank room, the entire facility. It was so calming – the entire vibe of the place and the demeanor of the manager (I wish I got her name!).I did exactly as she instructed us to do. I chose to listen to an album (they have a tablet hooked up to each tank room and speakers in the tank so you can listen to rain or thunder or Pink Floyd…). I took a shower (great water pressure, super clean space). I cleaned my ears, I wiped off my make up, I inserted the silicone ear buds. I entered the tank (water was around 96 degrees), I laid down and floated. It was not dark in there. They have these little battery-operated floating candles so you are not in the pitch black whilst relaxing. There was a young man to whom she was speaking when we arrived. He seemed nervous and she was so gentle with him, giving him time, etc.She said that some newbies need two-three times in the tank before totally falling in love with the experience. At the prices they charge, two-three times to decide if it’s really for you is NOT going to break your bank!I highly recommend experiencing the float tank!Yesterday was my first time ever experiencing a float tank. My husband and I went for a mystery date to Staying Afloat. We both have stressful jobs and have a hard time sleeping. We thought it might be a neat experience that would lead to some peaceful mindfulness and help us unwind. The owner Jim was very nice and knowledgeable. He took us for a tour. Everything was clean and had a spa like setting. We went into separate suites and spent the entire 1 1/2 hour session in the tank. We both emerged relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s definitely hard to explain what it is like, and I’m sure everyone will have a slightly different experience based on your mindset when going in, but I would really encourage anybody to try it. We will be back!

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis is a truly healing experience. I have gone 3 times and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facility. In 2014 I suffered an injury to my spinal cord resulting in emergency surgery that, THANKFULLY, restored the use of my legs. I still suffer from nerve pain, numbness & tingling, and a lack of responsiveness from my limbs from time to time. However after floating for 90 minutes my pain disappears for a while. Its like a reset for my muscles and realigns everything, not to mention the mental relaxation! If you haven’t tried this yet I would most certainly recommend it to anyone!! You will not be disappointed! Thank you to everyone at Staying Afloat Tank Center!!This is a truly healing experience. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI like this place better than previous float spas. I’m not sure why maybe I just like the tanks better… Either way I got my breathing controlled in a few minutes and all of the sudden I was off in the cosmus. (Jus Oborn would be proud!) Owner is a great guy I forgot his name. Clean, calming and subtle experience. I bought a 3 float package a great deal. I go for the astral travel but the physical decompression is a good secondary benefit. I have a couple herniated disks and they are relieved for a few days. Maybe bring an extra towel only one medium size towel was provided.I like this place better than previous float spas.
