I stopped by Station Street Hair Designs to get a haircut with Ashley. I often struggle with stylists not listening to me and giving me their vision of the cut I should get, instead of giving my my vision. I had a great experience at this salon because Ashley listened to exactly what I asked for and she executed perfectly. Critical: QualityI do not recommend going here if you have hair which requires trimmers to cut. Asked to have my hair blended/ faded and got nothing close to it. There is quite literally a point in my hair where it goes from an inch to a half inch, it’s funny looking. Furthermore, the trimming around my ears as well as my sideburns are quite uneven and not fully cut. I do not recommend going here if you have hair which requires trimmers to cut. Asked to have my hair blended/ faded and got nothing close to it. There is quite literally a point in my hair where it goes from an inch to a half inch, it’s funny looking. Got my hair cut by Ashley and my hair colored by Lacey, and can’t wait to go back! Got everything done a few months ago and my hair is still pretty vibrant and Ashley remembered my husband too which was pretty nice. All the staff here made me feel so at ease both because of my anxiety and also for the pandemic. I’ll be rescheduling soon!

Not sure of the name whoever did the cut but she was older with dyed mousy brown hair. The hair cut was mediocre but the service is responsible for my rating. I went in there wanting a nice hair cut after growing it out for over a year and was just treated like a joke of a kid in there. I’ve never been treated like this before, I didn’t really say anything that should be taken as a joke in any context but just saying very normal things and telling them about how I’d like my hair cut caused this lady and maybe a younger stylist to laugh like I’m a stand-up comedian. Never even heard of someone experiencing something like this before but given that I was the only one in there younger than 35 it kind of just tells me they had no respect, she wasn’t even very cordial or talkative, just uncomfortable laughs at things I wanted taken seriously, not trying to listen or anything. I showed her what my hair looked like after I styled it daily and asked for her to style it similarly at least while telling her the exact techniques and products I use but giving her the freedom to do whatever she thinks looks nice or better but what I was left with was a joke, I might as well have it my hair by myself then had my roommates style it while blindfolded. I’ll probably post the before and after someone soon because it’s hilarious. I payed $20 for worse service and quality of cut than $16 at Great Clips. I think I’ve learned that it doesn’t take much skill to dye and heat treat hair because obviously that experience doesn’t translate to a decent hair cut or styling and that a salon advertising all these things is less than a jack of all trades.

The whole experience was great! I was nervous getting my hair cut for the first time since quarantine has started. Masks are required, and Ashley gave me a great haircut. I’m going to be coming back here as long as I live in Athens. I plan on getting a crazy hair color done here in the future.

These people got it together!! They try super hard to make sure you are pleased. Sue is the best …. Super happy with my new hair style. I was terrified to get all my hair chopped off ( got a pixie cut) and Sue reassured me she knew what she was doing and that the cut I had chosen would be cute on me.
