I have not had a ton of experience with real barbers, normally I get my wife to cut my hair. In the Army, most haircuts are buzz cuts anyway (my only other experience). But Nick was fantastic! I could barely tell he was doing anything, such a soft touch. My hair looks great, and my wife said she can’t compete with that, and doesn’t want to ever give me another haircut. Worth the price you pay. Will definitely go here again, and will tell others about it.

State Street Barbers is a hidden gem on State Street in Orem. I went due to a recommendation of a friend. I came in with some idea of what I wanted and had photos. I had Colby cut my hair and he did a great job. Colby was not much for talking as he is focused more on getting your cut just right. If you are looking for a more conversational haircut I would recommend one of the other barbers. The price was reasonable at around $35 and took around a half hour to complete. Overall, a great haircut at an affordable price.

I’ve had Kolby here cutting my hair for over a year now and I haven’t been disappointed once. I’ve always been picky about barbers and when I first moved to Orem I went to 3-4 different shops in the area before I landed here. Great group of guys and each one of them does a damn good job.

I had a dear friend who really wanted to try cutting hair. I thought why not. I let her give it a go. It was all going great until we got to the back of my head. This is when disaster struck. I said, follow the hair line and clean it up. Bad idea. Her version of where the hair line was was much different from mine. See picture for visual. I ended up looking around for a barber and found these guys. Nate was awesome! He took my distaste and made it a masterpiece. I was very pleased with the outcome and world recommend anyone to this shop

It’s important to note that State Street Barbers are in fact, full barbers, not just someone who went to hair school and got two weeks of education on how to MAYBE trim a beard up. These guys are proper professionals, and the price is absolutely worth every dollar. Their attention to detail is what drives them forward and they actually listen to what you want.
