I absolutely love this salon! I have visited many places, and Star Nails and Spa quickly won my loyalty. They are so friendly and welcoming. I have never been disappointed with my nails or the service I received. I don’t think I can sing enough praise!! Definitely check them out if you are in the Kansas City area!!!! Wanted to give this place a good review because the owners are so nice but this is the worst dip manicure I have ever had. Sooo much dip powder was put on that I had large lumps on my nails, the dip was gritty and falling off in some parts. I had dip all over my cuticles and the edges were uneven and chipped. My nails on my left hand were square shaped and my right hand had round shaped nails. I was really confused and surprised when I was asked if the nails were ok, wish I could’ve taken a picture during the process. Luckily the lady who works there took over and made them somewhat better but as you can see in the pic my cuticles are still awful and my nails are still miss-shaped. I also had the Lux pedicure, my cuticles weren’t cleaned up and I felt that I paid extra just to have a lavender scented scrub. Very disappointing.

My first visit was absolutely wonderful. Very clean, uncluttered and organized. Had to do a fill after two weeks from CK Nails, so I couldn’t have been more pleased to leave with an acrylic nail fill like this one by Chan. I will definitely go back!!

They seem to always up sell, but this time that didn’t work out for me. Not to mention, the store accepts AMEX but I was convinced pretty hard not to use it. Went in for birthday nails. Very nice people but I can’t believe I just paid $92 dollars for the same quality gel mani-pedi I could have done in my own home for far less money. They seem to always up sell, but this time that didn’t work out for me. Not to mention, the store accepts AMEX but I was convinced pretty hard not to use it. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI got a dip manicure (first vist) and gel pedicure (second visit). I loved my experience. Both visits were done by the owner so it definitely felt special. The place is cozy and the friendly, prices are fair. The manicure was ok and the dip was good, though she did cut me during buffing. There is a limited number of color variants though. Sanitation seemed really great and on point.

She has great ideas of colors and artwork for my nails. I just had her curl my eyelashes and wax my eyebrows. I am very impressed with her serives. I live 20 miles from here but I prefer to keep seeing her every few weeks for my nails because of how well she does and how nice and her great customer service.If you want a great manicure or Pedicure or both, stop in and have Chan take care of you.
